About this product
- Product InformationFive years after the adventure in the original Maniac Mansion, the purple and green tenacles stop by a stream in back of the Edison mansion. Drinking the mutagen-polluted water makes the purple tentacle grow arms and become an evil genius bent on taking over the world.
Meanwhile, Bernard Bernoulli and his two friends, Hoagie the band roadie and Laverne, go to the Mansion to free the Tentacle. They manage to do so, but now they must help Dr. Fred Edison by going into the past and shutting off the mutagen pump yesterday.
Unfortunately, there is a little problem. Hoagie gets dumped 200 years in the past, Laverne gets shot 200 years into the future, and Bernard gets dumped right back into the present in the chronojohn.
It's up to you to solve the many problems and stop the evil purple tentacle from taking over the world, or even getting mutated in the first place.

Highly interactive and most fun for PC game, ever.
This game was my favorite in the early 1990's, but when my new computer didn't need a sound card and could not play a game with old technology and floppy disks, I was very sad. When I saw DOTT on ebay for an IBM compatible, I jumped on it. The price was not relevant, as the memories of the involved hours spent playing the game rushed back. The game characters are NOT life-like, but are charming and cute. The graphics are bright and fun and this game takes some strategy. You have to interact with the 3 characters (Bernard, Hoagie and Laverne), after they were sent to different historical times, and get them to work together to defeat the Purple Tentacle and bring them all back home. I missed this game and thought about it for over a decade, and was thrilled to find it on ebay, grateful to find it in such great condition and to purchase it from such an awesome ebayer. Two thumbs up, way UP !!Read full review

Different than I remembered
I was really disappointed, because it wasn't exactly how I remembered it. The program is very slow and has to run a certain way - you can't jump around on the game. Just a lot older than I remembered and isn't as enjoyable to play as I had expected.

Love DOTT, Classic, pain to set up in Vista but love it
DOTT is the classic Lucus Arts game. If you have Vista or any newer program it is hard to set up and can be a pain. Easy once you "google" how to do it. Must have internet to download programs to run DOTT. Love the game, if you haven't played it, you must!
