I am an avid vintage camera junkie and owned a Mamiya Sekor 500DTL I bough off eBay in 2010. Due to a rough time at Bonnaroo, and the fact I wanted a 1000DTL to begin with, I searched and nodded around and decided to get this Mamiya. The camera is a chunky one but overall it has a great feel and I'm currently shooting to test it. There was<br>I have shot avidly with my 500DTL before purchasing this camera, and I would recommend and Mamiya product to any if they're looking for quality not only in the cameras themselves, but also in the product it produces.

The Golden Age of Cameras
This Mamiya 1000 DTL is an SLR worthy of respect, a solid, built work of craftsmanship, built like a tank. The fact that it is still functional after about 40+ years speaks for itself. Sure, some TLC is usually involved with enjoying a vintage beauty such as this one, i.e. new light seals, some cleaning and lubing, but that is to be expected. I love the fact that this baby has dual metering (spot and average), high tech for the late 60's, in addition, I've always liked these screw mount lenses and awesome glass (optics). What is there not to like about such a great piece of photographic history.
