A Comedy to laugh for!
It's Reese at her best! Funny, cute, smart & entertaining! A movie to watch with the whole family! Miss Woods (Reeses' Character in this film) starts off in love with a dirt bag who dumps her! Desperate, she chases him accross Country, gives up hope, gains some prospective, and by the end of the Movie has learned her true worth, saved the day,& found a new love! A real fun ride. I Love, love, love this movie!

Smart and Funny Chick Flick
I don't really care for chick flicks. Most have the same basic plot and same girl jokes which never felt real or very funny. With Legally Blonde I am not sure if it is the funny and smart script or Reese Witherspoon's charm and natural comedic talent but this movie had me laughing out loud.
A stereotypical California sorority girl with the perfect life is dumped by her "perfect" boyfriend because he thinks she is not "serious" enough. He wants a political career and needs to "marry a Jackie not a Marylin". To prove him wrong she gets into Harvard where he is starting law school. This is a story of self discovery and the flighty but smart girl realizes she does not need a man to validate her.
Great movie - even guys can appreciate how funny it is - and this is a great date or a girl's night-in movie.Read full review

Silly Women can Be Brilliant!
Recently I watched How to Marry a Millionaire with Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall and Betty Hutton. These three women were depicted as avaricious airheads whose only desire in life was to marry a millionaire.
On the surface Legally Blonde seems just as silly and fatuous, but I like it a lot because it's about a woman who is not afraid to be who she is. She doesn't have to give up being a woman, and in this case a stereotype of an airhead, to become a Harvard graduate and perhaps teach a few people a little about life.
I am sure if you have seen the movie you got something out of it, so will say no more, except that I vote a big yes for movies with an uplifting happy theme of people who can and do make a difference in life. Perhaps in real life the story is not so simple, but in this fairy tale of a story Reese Witherspoon does a great job of convincing us all that it's OK to be who she is.Read full review
