Jackal (Nintendo Entertainment System, 1987)
About this product
|Jackal is a free-roaming shooter that puts you in command of a Green Beret attack jeep. A superb job is done in making the six stages distinct from one another, and the action is fast-paced with abundant enemies. While the extra objective of rescuing hostages from prison buildings has very little bearing on gameplay (except for earning bazooka power-ups), it is a nice feature that helps immerse you into the storyline. The only real flaws are a difficulty level that rises dramatically toward the end of the game, and graphics that tend to be on the small side. These are only minor quibbles, though, and shouldn't prevent you from enjoying one of the better shooters on the platform. |

Love this game, You should buy it!
You know what really grinds my gears?
Not this game! Takes me back to my childhood of shooting foreigners and rescuing POWs. The single complaint I have is trying to beat those damn Medusa Head statues alone, while trying avoid random missile fire.

Awesome to deal with
Great game of the late 80's. One of the funnest Konami games ever. Also 2 player was just as fun as 1player. Story was simple and fun. Music for the time was awesome.
