I Recommend it 100%
I own a Dell M1730 laptop and this is the highest upgrade you can buy for it.
it was a bit pricey decision but i dont regret it one bit.
i upgraded tto this Cpu because i wanted to explore overclocking territories
and no other laptop Cpu does it better than this x9000.
it made a significant difference in overall performance of my tasks.
and my #3D bench Mark Scores along with Vista Scoring went up significantly.
i recommend this upgrade to anyone who owns M1730 specially.
i rate it 10/10 anyday anytime.

Great deal, great CPU, not ES
It was a great deal, clean new top quality CPU @ reasonable price. Not ES. It is now running nice and cool in a Dell XPS M1730 @ 3GHz. Bring Win7 CPU score and memory score from 6.5(x7900) to 6.7(x9000).

X9000 has the best performance among same code named CPU's !!!
I bought this item to replace Core 2 Duo T8100 as Spec:
T8100 3MB L2 2.1 GHz 800MHz FSB.

Replacement was successfully done and my Lap Top became quite quick operation !!!

I compared this item to T9300 and T9500, and I found
this item might be replacable to T8100 in the same socket, same code name, FSB and power consumpton.
