A "must have" for my Vietnam film collection
Being a lover of military history I tend to be a little too critical of war movies. None the less I still enjoy this movie and consider it one of the best of the Vietnam flicks along with "Platoon".

Great 20th anniversary edition!
I had not seen this movie since it came out. My son is 15 and is becoming quite the Vietnam war buff. This movie shows from the inside what it was like to be involved in the war from the "grunts" side. Personal stories and accounts of one terrible mismanaged campaign.

Just a reminder that our soldiers will do what they need to do, and that war is hell!

My husband and I purchased this movie because his father fought in this battle, and was a member of the 101st airborne div. 3/187th (Rakasans!). The movie depicts the tragedy that of the Iron Triangle in Vietnam. We like that the movie shows the trials and tribulations (as best as a movie can) of the people that fought in the battle. However, being that it is a war movie, it is pretty gorey. Great movie overall!
