Keep it simple stupid: A+++
Great machine for geocaching. I can't say enough about the KISS principle. The menus navigate like a touch screen cell phone and are very intuitive. Machine is accurate, sturdy and waterproof. The only difference between this and the 550 is the camera, and who is really interested in a 3MP camera. My Blackberry has a better camera than the 550. This isn't the GPS you are going up Everest with, but for the super anal navigator, you are using a compass, protractor, paper map and adjusting for declination anyway. So for the Geocacher, I highly recommend.

GPS works fine
GPS works fine. There is expandable options for this unit, a ROM chip may be purchased and installed in the GPS, which will give topographical maps of the western United States.

the gps worked great. i would buy top of the line batteries next time
I love how easy it was to use and the touch screen is great. the only bad thing was the battery life. I went through a lot of batteries in 10 days of hunting

I take it everywhere!
This is the smallest, most versatile GPS at a reasonable price. Just add the North American Cities NT on MicroSD card and you'll be in operation in minutes. No interfacing with PC or special software required. Land, Marine, Cycling, even navigation directly by air. You'll always know when you're flight is getting in, much sooner than the pilot will announce Add the included carabiner clip and this is the most compact and accurate GPS today.
