About this product
|Fracture is a futuristic first-person shooter whose "hook" is being able to freely transform the landscape with your weapons. In the year 2161, the continental United States is divided after a seismic event topples the country's central region. The government is no longer in power, so organizations on both sides vie for control with the backing of sympathetic nations abroad. The main protagonist is Jet Brody, a soldier fighting on behalf of the Atlantic Alliance. He will confront genetically enhanced troops from the Republic of Pacifica in a series of battles that will take him across what's left of the U.S.|
Rather than simply blast enemy troops throughout each environment, you must also solve puzzles using your high-tech weapons. Barriers blocked with rubble can still be traversed simply by shooting at the ground and creating a subterranean tunnel. High destinations can be reached by shooting at a patch of land to create hills of varying size. In addition to removing and building areas of the landscape, you can also create temporal disturbances such as a mini black hole, which will suck everything near it into its gaping maw. Grenades, missiles, torpedoes, and other high-powered weapons can all be used to manipulate your surroundings in surprising ways.

Good third person shooter adventure game with excellent graphics and a nice story line set in the future. Lucas Arts delivers...

Great game, I was pleasantly surprised
For the price, I wasn't expecting much. However, the graphics are top notch, it has a decent story line, the selection of weapons are the best of all the games I have played. The game starts slow, and it is hard to learn about all the weapons, but after you get familuar with everything the game gets rolling. One of the longest games I've played, and the best game I've played besides Call of Duty. Plus, the lack of bad langauge was refreshing.

Passing out free demos killed this one
This game is a good example of what happens when you rush games.
C - D game.
The game lags in single player mode.
Ammo Is very limited and you get stuck shooting the ground with a ground raiser to kill people, yet it doesn't kill them.
The story is dull and slapped together ( take out the turrets, destroy the center core, destroy more turrets, kill unending always loaded enemies, 1 vs. 50 at a time.)
WORST LUCASARTS game ever!
THERE IS NOBODY ONLINE = WASTE OF MY TIME
Just point and laugh at this junk.

LOTS OF FPS SHOOTERS OUT THERE. THIS ONE DIFFERS SINCE YOU CAN RASIE OR LOWER THE TERRAIN FOR PROTECTION OR TO REACH AREAS - eg. LOWER GROUND TO REVEIL A TUNNEL TO GO THRU - RAISE GROUND AS A PROTECTION BARRIER OR TO REACH SAY, A 2nd STORY OF A BUILDING, ETC. GRAPHICS ARE MODERATE BUT THE GAMEPLAY MAKES UP FOR THAT. PRICE POINT FOR THIS GAME IS SO LOW, YOU CANT GO WRONG!
