Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Sony PlayStation 3, 2012)
About this product
|Role-players return to the world that Lightning struck in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Released not as a new volume, but as a direct sequel to its predecessor, the game continues the story of Cocoon and Pulse in a similar play style, while enhancing non-linear exploration and refining the battle system. More powerful Paradigm functions offer players greater tactical control in the back-and-forth of combat. Many iconic Final Fantasy monsters can be tamed to fight alongside the heroes.|
The sequel tells the story of Serah, the sister of the main character Lightning from the original Final Fantasy XIII. Three years after the city in the sky fell toward Pulse, a strange meteor throws Serah's peaceful village into deadly chaos. Time is warped, and vicious monsters invade. Her young life is spared from this onslaught by a mysterious traveler called Noel. A hunter from the future, Noel tells Serah that he can take her to her sister, who awaits in another place and time.

Great Value for series fans
I'd stop short of recommending this game to people who weren't fans of XIII or Final Fantasy in general. For true fans it's can't miss. Fixed the problems with the original FF XIII.

I'd really like this game
Great PS3 Game, better than the first part.
I love to play it again on a harder difficulty.
Also i'd like the various opportunities in this game.

Great price for the game and poster!
I have played Final Fantasy for a while now. I absolutely love FFXIII so I decided to give FFX-2 a try. It is just as great! The music in this game is fantastic same as the graphics.

Fun game, good story, good music
An excellent game over all. The music was exciting, energizing and fun. The battle system is quite interesting but lacked some control. The story was very deep and replay-able. However; I was not a fan of the ending (not to spoil it).

GREAT Improvement from FF13. A game worth playing
Unlike in FFXIII, I actually felt the emotion in this game. The characters were very well developed. Unlike in FF13 where it bugged me that the character's development felt rushed and completely unemotional [ for example with Hope, his mom and hatred for Snow]
The battle system has IMPROVED ALOT as well as the LEVELING mechanism. FF13 used to anger me with the unfair leveling system but it is all fixed. There are A LOT to do in this game which makes it much more fun even AFTER you beat the game. Future DLC will add an addition to the game so right now, it is not over even if you beat everything.
I personally love the characters, the dialogue and most of all the ending. It isn't a boring, cliche one and it is full of emotion. When I beat FF13 i thought [that was it?!] The ending made me feel incomplete. But the ending in FF13-2 made me feel like I actually completed this journey.

I was personally a harsh critic when I thought about getting this game due to Sqaure's epic failure with their first sequel, FFX-2 and then how I didn't really "LOVE" FF13 but...I gave it a chance.
Which is what you all should do cause Square really listened to their fans on this one.
I don't know what else to say but play it give it a try. Don't judge what you do not know
and at the end of the day, if you still don't like it, then at least you had an open mind and played it.Read full review
