I loved it and so did my grand kids.Made me take them to a game at Fenway.
The original version of this movie was finished before the season ended and had the Red Sox losing the pennant, that's why the end of the movie ended so abruptly. The final scene showing them running onto the field when the Red Sox won the World Series was done with the permission of the Cardinals and the fans were not thrilled with it happening. The Cardinals also went outside and called all the Red Sox fans without tickets in to watch the final innings when it looked like the Red Sox where going to win.A real class act by the Cardinals.

No ladies, this isn't a jock movie and no guys it is not a chick flick
This is a must see for any true Red Sox fan.
Any one who has followed the Boston Red Sox will enjoy the way the history of our beloved team is brought out.
The movie never drags and is unpredictable.

The scenes filmed at Fenway are great. The fact that the main character has to die for seats only makes the story line more believable.
Whether you are new to the Boston faithful (Since the '04 season) or have been there through the close calls of the 60's and 70's you will enjoy this movie.
And

Fever Pitch is a cute date movie - not a sports movie
Fever Pitch got a lot of heat when it came out because of the involvment of the Re Sox in it - many considered it to be an unholy mockery of the Red Sox 2004 World Series championship. But the movie wasn't meant to be a sports film - its a date movie. Its cute and its funny - and thats exactly what its meant to be. Jimmy Fallon is hilariously odd and uncomfortable as a die hard red sox fan trying to balance his commitment to his team and his new girlfriend (played by Drew Barrymore). I personally find Drew Barrymore irritating and a sub-par actress, but she is mostly fine in this role. The movie has something for everyone and its an enjoyable 90 minutes. My guess is that this movie wouldn't work without Jimmy Fallon - who really makes it special and brings to life some of the oddball humor the Farley brothers are known for.Read full review
