About this product
- Product InformationReturn to the vibrant world of Albion in this follow-up to 2004's Fable. Acclaimed developer Peter Molyneux has crafted an action role-playing game filled with moral choices, allowing you to create an altruistic or evil character based on your decisions. You begin the game as a boy or girl and will eventually mature into an adventurous adult. Explore the lush countryside, fight bandits, slay foul creatures, venture into mysterious dungeons, marry, or raise a family. Your fortune amassed during your travels can be spent on houses, castles, taverns, clothing, equipment, tattoos, and more. Your actions will literally change and shape the world, and the townsfolk will react accordingly.
The setting takes place 500 years after the original game, enabling you to use guns in combat as well as swords, bows, and spells. Fast-paced combos can be strung together by alternating between magical, ranged, and melee attacks. Fable II also features a canine companion that will perform tricks, dig up treasure, and protect you in combat. Cooperative play is supported via Xbox Live, allowing a friend to seamlessly join your world at any time. Xbox Live subscribers can also build their fortunes outside of the main game by playing Xbox Live Arcade's Fable II Pub Games. Money and prizes earned while playing the three games of chance can be transferred to your character. Acquire too much debt, however, and "collectors" might come looking for you.
This limited edition comes with a making-of featurette DVD and bonus in-game content that can only be accessed via Xbox Live. The bonus content includes "The Hall of the Dead" dungeon, "The Wreckager" cutlass, Spartan armor, and an energy sword.

Fable, it's even better the second time around.
Admittedly my purchase of Fable 2 was based on a whim. I had played the first one and heard some negative things about it. Having a personal taste for games, however, I decided to give it a shot. Needless to say, I haven't been disappointed in the slightest.
The world is massive, the environments are beautiful, and redesigns of old enemies (trolls and balverines in particular) spice things up. New enemies are equally as interesting and keep the stakes high.
My only criticisms of the game as a whole are the facts that the beginning is relatively slow paced, and some basic movements can be a bit clunky. There are some differences that took minor adjusting to such as the new spell-selector menu and the fact that running and fighting no longer cause your character to lose weight. At first I was opposed to the idea of firearms since I was so attached to the bow and crossbow from Fable TLC, but after giving them a shot I've found them to also be a nice addition to the game.
The dog was a nice addition for those who don't expect battle help from it. He does tricks and spots both chested and buried treasure and is all around a fun aspect of the game. He even reflects your morality, and in my case has glowing red eyes for my evil character.
While Jobs are fairly simple, they're a nice way to make easy money since enemies no longer drop gold (except in cases where special augments are added to your weapons). Dialogue from characters in the world is still fun and often humorous and connecting to people is a fun way to get renown or marry.
The experience you gain is still based on orbs and attaining enough to level up anything past 2 stars takes a fair amount of time to gather. Despite this is the case, your character is not in otherwise disadvantageous jeopardy.
Overall I find myself forcing myself away from the world of Fable 2. Main quests are engaging and fun, there are many side quests that keep you entertained in case you need a break from the main quest. This is a great sequel to a great game and a very satisfying buy.Read full review

Easy decision- BUY IT!
I recently purchased this item after watching a few reviews online. Many people believed it was one of the top 5 rpg's of all time. Others thought it was a disgrace to all rpg's. Basically it came down to fitting the rpg criteria and the difficulty level. It is very easy, but still worth playing. I played through the game without dying once but it was still very entertaining. If you can get past the low difficulty, you will find it very fun. A lot of people were saying that it didn't really have enough choices to be an RPG. However every decision you make affects the world in some way and you can choose how everyone thinks of you. You can build a life, run businesses, and even have a family.
Pros- BEAUTIFUL and realistic graphics. Every minor detail was thought of during the making of Fable 2. Story line is intriguing and will keep you interested. Cut scenes look like real life. Long game play. Many choices.
Cons- Combat system is lacking in difficulty. Some discrepancies as to whether it's an actual rpg (IMO the story itself is lacking in choices but it makes up for it with the side quests).
Bottom line- You can do so much more in this game than the typical RPG. The beauty and vastness of the world will have you exploring constantly. Work your way past the low difficulty and you have a wonderful game.

Best Xbox360 Rpg game so far that I've played!
The story is great the character's are prefect! The humor will crack you up! Ok here's what I didn't like about the game. What is wrong with you Lion Head Studio's & Microsoft you have a great sequel but for crying out loud why can't the main character have a jump button feature! I mean seriously is it to hard for you to add this in the game! I certainly hope that Fable 3 will finally have a jump button feature! And I hope it will be even more Action packed like this one was I absolutely love Fable 2 but 3 had better have more improvements! And if you want more info on this game go check out 1up.com or gamespot.com heck even youtube.com Enjoy gamers!

Really Fun and exciting Adventure
In the begining of the first weeks it was fun and all but i didnt think it was worth it at the time then i told my friends to get it and it was a fun and amazing game. My favortie part is the online trading with other players and that fact you can buy stores and rent out houses do jobs and cuztomize your character. Althought i wish there was a bit more options to cuztomize your character. But the game is still amzing the world is like big especially if you walk to your destination instead of telepoting now people might think its stupid to walk but you actually discover more like that. This game is fun but i does have downsideswhich are, that the co op has really bad camera angles but you can get use to it the game itsent much of a challenge and when you die it really dosent matter you just lose the exp that is around you that you didnt collect and get scars but the scars can be healed. Theres other ones like the movement of your character but there not much of a promblem other than that i recomend that anyone that like medieval things and somewhat of a rpg game. =D 9.4/10Read full review
