Fable II -- Limited Collector's Edition (Microsoft Xbox 360, 2008)
About this product
|Return to the vibrant world of Albion in this follow-up to 2004's Fable. Acclaimed developer Peter Molyneux has crafted an action role-playing game filled with moral choices, allowing you to create an altruistic or evil character based on your decisions. You begin the game as a boy or girl and will eventually mature into an adventurous adult. Explore the lush countryside, fight bandits, slay foul creatures, venture into mysterious dungeons, marry, or raise a family. Your fortune amassed during your travels can be spent on houses, castles, taverns, clothing, equipment, tattoos, and more. Your actions will literally change and shape the world, and the townsfolk will react accordingly.|
The setting takes place 500 years after the original game, enabling you to use guns in combat as well as swords, bows, and spells. Fast-paced combos can be strung together by alternating between magical, ranged, and melee attacks. Fable II also features a canine companion that will perform tricks, dig up treasure, and protect you in combat. Cooperative play is supported via Xbox Live, allowing a friend to seamlessly join your world at any time. Xbox Live subscribers can also build their fortunes outside of the main game by playing Xbox Live Arcade's Fable II Pub Games. Money and prizes earned while playing the three games of chance can be transferred to your character. Acquire too much debt, however, and "collectors" might come looking for you.
This limited edition comes with a making-of featurette DVD and bonus in-game content that can only be accessed via Xbox Live. The bonus content includes "The Hall of the Dead" dungeon, "The Wreckager" cutlass, Spartan armor, and an energy sword.

Fable 2 Limited Edition Xbox 360
This game is spectacular fun for all RPG fans. The limited edition comes with bonus content that adds additional armor and weapons plus a bonus dungeon. This will make a great addition to any holiday wish list. The game itself is a major improvement over the original and haters will finally credit Peter Molyneux for creating an innovative next-gen experience.

Quality, but no quantity
I decided to buy fable 2 because the first title was a lot of fun but a little too short... they probably did this so you could play twice as both good and evil. It seemed like they were taking a different approach this time around but they didn't, though at it's core is a great game it lacks on expanding its potential. The main issue here is that overall the whole game it seems like they got an idea, started working on, made it work really well but then stopped before it was complete... the co-op could have been awesome but you only play as a henchmen for someone else or vice versa, the clothes is a weak selection with no armor, the story is short but good, there could have been more options in the combat but the thing is they did all those very well there just needed to be... more.

Another thing, there are some serious game-breaking glitches that will force you to start over if you save after encountering them. Mainly, that if you do something weird during a "scene" you will get stuck and wont be able to interact with anything. It's avoidable if you don't save but if you do you're screwed.

That's pretty much what I learned from playing it through twice though my review sounds negative it's actually a good game and I would recommend it.Read full review

Fable II - The Master Chief Edition
I'll be perfectly honest. The only reason I bought this game was for the extra content. Primarily, the armor that makes your character look like the Master Chief from Halo and the Covenant Sword. If you listen carefully when taking out this sword, it uses the sound effect in the background of the energy sword!
Also, lets face it, Fable II has no true armor in it really. Not like Fable anyway. So this add on is in my opinion the coolest looking in the game, that I have found so far. I wish there was a combination of gems you could put in the sword to make it actually as powerful as the sword is in Halo. But there isn't. Price is high, but that is to be expected of any Limited Edition game. The only thing that would have made this better is if they had included a firearm with the set. Like the pistol or the assault rifle from Halo. That would have been really awesome.Read full review
