About this product
- Product InformationLuo Guanzhong's Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the base upon which KOEI has developed many of its acclaimed titles, including the action-oriented Dynasty Warriors series. Dynasty Warriors 3 continues this tradition, dropping the player into the middle of an epic conflict between the Wei, Wu, and Shu kingdoms of ancient China. An initially selectable cast of ten characters gives way to over 40 characters in total, the majority of which will need to be unlocked by completing the various game modes.
Essentially the same as Dynasty Warriors 2, this latest incarnation adds new moves, characters, and modes to the mix. Visceral combat is in abundance, with plenty of enemy grunts and generals to defeat. Basic combinations can be performed, but the incredibly powerful Musou moves can kill entire groups of enemies with little fuss. Bodyguards now grow in both experience and number depending on your proficiency in battle, and can be outfitted with different weapons as the need arises. Commands, such as attack and defend, can be issued to the bodyguards in the midst of battle. Horses and elephants can be mounted in combat and maneuvered around the battlefield; the former proves a speedy transport while the latter can be best likened to a tank, mowing down anything in its path.
Swarms of enemies take to the battlefield and much like the previous title, players can encounter hundreds of soldiers at a time. Additional items and weapons can be found in combat and put to good use against the seemingly endless tide of warriors. The Challenge mode presents a variety of seemingly impossible situations to the player, in both endurance and timed disciplines. A second player can join in the main action, allowing for a cooperative romp through the game's many missions. More competitive players can square off against each other in the periphery Versus mode.

3/5 for an aged game
The third installment of the Dynasty Warriors series is an improvement over the game before it, but a dated piece by today's technology and games. The game has a more expanded character selection at the beginning, including Guan Yu, Liu Bei, and Sun Shang Xiang. I played a bit if Sun Shang Xiang's story mode, and found myself confused. The first battle had nothing to do with the "Romance of The Three Kingdoms" novel of which the games are based off of, and the second battle jumped straight to Chi Bi, which wasn't for another few years. As for gameplay, its slow and confusing. The characters do not run, and your range is limited; your musou does not regenerate if you are low on health-which could be costly if you're up against Lu Bu. But compared to the first two games you have more dialogue between the characters. Comparing to the first two games, it makes an attempt to follow the novel more closely; but is still a few years away from getting it right. Its not a bad game, but not one of my favorites I give it a 3/5 for being dated for its time, but still make improvements Read full review

Very good product!
I bought this item because I played the game at my cousin's house and I fell in love with it. E bay has very good deals so I decided to check here before anywhere. Fortunately it was the cheapest price of all which was good and easy for me. I like the game because it's very fun and addicting. Once you play this game you are officially attached even though it's a old game. The fact I dislike about this is the people who worked on it could of worked on the graphics a little. Considering it's a old game, it has fair graphics for that time. This product was the cheapest of all which I liked a lot. It saved me a lot of money.

War and you make all the difference!
Have you gotten mad and wanna take your stress out by hacking and slash at massive amount of people? Do you wish to play a hero that will decide which way the war would sway? This game is awesome! The game starts out at a very slow pace which any gamer can get the feel and understand the gameplay. However, a lot of elements are introduced all at once one. When I first played I was overwhelmed by the complex map that was shown the very moment you start a new game but you can get into it very easily. Some elements that I'm talking about are the able to to modify your bodyguards, equip certain accessory, and weapons. You decimate hundred of enemies in a few minute within the game! You action control the outcome of the war. There are some strategies involved but not much that'll change the game play drastically. With all this there are MASSIVE amount of characters to choose from, such mas males with swords, axe, mace, and spears to even females with FANS! Each has their very own weapon and their very own attacks and special move! However, there are some negative points in this game but it's minor. The first is the 2-player co-op mode. The spit screen is horrible (at no fault to the game creator because they did all that they could) and it lags at time because the amount of enemies sometime present, but this only occurs if you play in 2 player mode. Another is the fact that it get rather boring because all you really do is charge in, hack and slash your way thrugh the front lines and into the main general (boss you kill to win the missions) form the start to the end of the game. Great Multiplayer Game!
This is a great for two people to play. I bought so that I could play it with my girlfriend since there is a dearth of good two-player games nowadays. The game is set in ancient China during the Three Kingdom Wars which was actually true. The big difference here is the heroes have supernatural powers and can clear fields if soldiers with just a couple of swings from their weapon. I recommend it for the multiplayer, great game!

Destiny Warriors 3 for PS2
The Destiny warriors games mix animated fighting with strategy and topped off with a little Chinese history. DW3 adds multiple players, better graphics and addition characters to previous DW2 game. This is a good game that can can be found at rather reasonable prices since there are several later versions already out. See if you like this one by itself and you can build characters and use in more advance/expanded versions of the Destiny Warrior saga.
