Lots of goodies, but poor display
Great little digital player with a radio and recording. Allows you to bookmark your place, and the fast forward/rewind gets incrementally faster as you keep pressing. Big negative: the OLED display will deteriorate after about 50 hours of use, becoming fainter and fainter.

This is a great little player for the price.
I bought this used player off of ebay for a price under $20.00 and it is absolutely perfect for what I wanted. I needed a small, relatively simple player that would hold about 500 songs and do a random play of all for background music during water aerobics classes. What I liked best was that it synced right up with Windows Media Player for downloading. What I don't like is the small screen because most of the people who set it up for classes are over 40 and can't see small print without glasses. It has performed well over the last month and I am very satisfied.

I haven't figured out why people love iPods. I bought a first generation iPod Nano and after a year of constant updates for the software and device that crashed my computer and had me paying hundreds for geeks to come help with I made an impulse purchase on a Zen V Plus just before a trip. Soooo much better! It's easy to install, easy to put music on and easy to use. I bought it about 6 years ago and since then I gave it up to my tech resistant mother (cut-and-paste is still new to her!) and she can use it easily and is her favorite piece of technology. Now I gave it to her because for my birthday 5 years ago my parents bought me the Zen W, a 30GB widescreen mp3 (which I still have and love), and I realized later it was a bit hard to walk a dog or even fit such a large device in my pocket so my parents bought me a Zune. After two years of owning the Zune I'm tired of it's updating and advertising and mixing up my music or displaying random pictures from files that are not linked to music and am selling it. If you download music and divide it up into folders according to style, singer, or whatever the Zune software will shuffle it around how ever it wants to, put its own album pictures on (even if it is the wrong band!) where as the Creative Labs software works off of your files and folders and keeps them. My household has tried the iPod Nano, the short lived Dell DJ, Zune, and three different Creative Lab Zens. Hands down my household loves the Zens and I believe that if people would give this smaller brand a try they will love it just as much. Read full review

Works for us but a little out of date.
We bought one of these Zen players years ago when they were new because it was more affordable than the ipods then. We were sort of resisting the itunes world and we had Napster(now Rhapsody). These players were easy to use and cheap to load music into. My husband, my daughter and myself have all had a couple of these now. They seem to eventually freeze up and can't be used anymore. But they're so cheap we've just replaced them and moved on. This will probably be the last time we buy these because it's about time to upgrade and join the itunes world. But they are so cheap now it was worth it to replace my daughter's for christmas.

Just as good as ......( insert popular fruit logo )
Ok since I spoil my kid and bought him the Ipod - I was looking for something cheaper but just as good - FOUND IT !! This thing is great - just pop in the software cd , follow the directions . Then connect your little player to your computer and start loading it up . This whole process took less than 30 minutes . I had about 60 - 70 songs on my computer I synced . Ok so this thing cool looking ( mine is black and green ) it has a clock on it , an organizer for dates and stuff and a RADIO !! I even uploaded some pics and put my little basset hound on mine as wallpaper ........ CUTE. Ready for the downside ? It is a little tough to navigate through - but if you like gadgets it's kind of fun to figure it out . Also with my sons Ipod it was easy to just drag and drop songs - this one will do it as well but there are a couple more steps so it can get confusing . So far - that is really all I can complain about - the creative earphones sound alot better than the ones that came with the Apple mp3 . In my opinion - this thing is a bargain and works just as well .... I have almost 300 songs on mine now and it is nowhere full .... PLUS THE BATTERY LASTS A LONG TIME !! Read full review
