Deeply beautiful and inspiring - a total joy to behold!
This is by far the best, most inspiring, and most realistic movie I have ever seen about Saint Francis of Assisi. It tells of his beginnings, his friendship with Saint Clare, how he rebuilt the church of San Damiano, and at last received a special blessing from Pope Innocent III. All of the actors and actresses are perfectly cast, particularly Graham Faulkner as Francis and Judi Bowker as Clare, and it is truly like witnessing that period of history eight-hundred years ago. The songs by Donovan are wonderful and add a deep emotional and spiritual ambiance to the scenes. The video tape is high quality and recorded at two-hour speed, while the 120 minutes of the movie whiz by like a summer breeze. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking God or searching for a special purpose in his or her life.Read full review

Brother Sun Sister Moon VHS
The acting in this movie is not 100% but the story line makes up for it.
I loved the movie, it had a very deep and meaningful message for us all.
I loved the music, Donovan wrote beautiful lyrics and the music alone moves you

This is a beautiful film. The spiritual awakening that Saint Francis experiences is depicted in such a way that it feels as though we are having a spiritual awakening of our own.

Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1993, VHS)
I purchased this movie because I remember being very moved by it when I first saw the story in the 1980's. It didn't have the same impact as it did then.
(Maybe I saw a different version???) However, I am glad I bought this one.
