Nine Inch Nails: Trent Reznor (vocals, various instruments).Additional personnel: Martin Atkins, Chris Vrenna (drums), Maise (background vocals).Having caught the public's attention with his catchy, chart- topping PRETTY HATE MACHINE, Trent Reznor was free to experiment with music less accessible to the mainstream. While his more fickle fans were disappointed with BROKEN, the faithful heard in it Reznor's true genius. Dark and edgy, BROKEN cuts the silence like a dirty knife--no singalong anthems here. Only hard-hitting rhythms and no-holds-barred metal riffs flavor this sophomore effort. In BROKEN one can hear the artist maturing and simplifying his craft; Reznor succeeds here without relying on the trappings of pop formulas. The product of a burst of creative energy, BROKEN spawned a companion release of remixes, titled FIXED. From the tight, rapid-fire succession of chords that begins "Pinion" to the beautiful and dreamy jingling guitar of "Help Me I Am in Hell," BROKEN proved that Reznor was to remain a force in the alternative music scene.

Perfect album, valuable addition to a Halo Collection
This album is something very interesting. Trent Reznor himself has said the album was mixed specifically to be hard to listen.
It certainly is going to be hard to take in for a casual NIN listener...

It has become progressively more scarce, and it's collector's value is rising with every passing second. Definitively a must have for the avid NIN fans.

Classic Nine Inch Nails
I love this album so much its not even funny. It takes me straight back to the early nineties when i was just getting into goth music. I love Nine inch nails and have almost every album they ever made. Trent Reznor is a very talented musician! Broken rocks.

Although there only 6 tracks on this album, it is a must for any NIN fans. It is a very powerful album. Just listen to "Wish", "Happiness In Slavery", and "Gave Up", and you will see what I mean. NIN has evolved a lot since this was released in 1992, but it is still a great album!!!!

Broken by Nine Inch Nails
Broken is Nine Inch Nails third studio release. Unlike other Nine Inch Nails Albums Trent Reznor is backed by Flood, Reznor's touring band, and features screeching guitars and live drum tracks. It is truly a garage band album. There are only a few songs on this EP but they are all worth the money. Don't forget to check out tracks 98 and 99. And anything BROKEN needs to be FIXED. (Fixed is a remix album of Broken that is sold separately.)Enjoy!
