Great Smartphone and with Tether, PC internet. 8 Gb expansion makes this one very capable phone. Tons of MP3s, pics, etc. Intuitive easy to use. Do yourself the favor and get an unlimited data plan and you'll use the crap out of it. ALL of my e-mail accounts integrated with ease (not exchange although that can be done with the BlackBerry Enterprise Activation if needed.) Video quality is good as is audio plugged in or with the BackBeat 906 Bluetooth. Phone clarity is fine although Sprint Coverage is a little spotty in some areas where I live. It is MULTITUDES better than my iPhone! Wish some iPhone apps worked on it but as a mobile PC platform it's awesome. Custom ringtones are a pain to set up but work fine once you get used to the process of the "exceptions." Very happy with the 8330! Keep getting better Research In Motion!Read full review

Even though there are newer Blackberries available for Sprint/Nextel, they don't do a heck of a lot more than the 8330. And since it is/was such a popular phone, there are about a million cheap replacement parts available right here on ebay to keep it looking like new for as long as you like. You can update the operating system, the housing color, the keypad color, and the trackball color, for less than 20 dollars.................. The only real con I can think of is the fact I stated before, there are newer Blackberries with faster processors, better screen resolution, and more internal memory. But that's not much of a con..... If you are just looking for a replacement phone to get you by until your next upgrade, or if you're looking to buy your first Blackberry I highly recommend the 8330. A word of warning though.... Blackberry's can become an addiction. :-)Read full review

Great user-friendly device
My opinion of the phone is quite skewed. I have been using this phone for quite some time. And the phone is actually for Alltel not Sprint. Due to Verizon's ineptness in processing insurance claims I decided to buy another one here.
The phone uses a track-ball instead of the touch pad, which I prefer. The phone however only has 128mb of internal memory for applications where the newer phones have a lot more memory but if you don’t need to have ALL of the latest applications on your phone at the same time this is one great phone. JUST BE MINDFUL OF THE USB CHARGING PORT! It evidently is the weak link in the ruggedness of the phone. Mine died when it was dropped and landed on the USB cord while it was plugged in. Several phones that I have found here on Ebay have sustained the same damage.
Verizon attempted to replace my damaged phone with a model 8530 Blackberry. The differences are interesting. First let me start off with saying that Verizon no longer carries the 8330 so they “upgraded” me to the 8530. The 8330 features a flash for the camera where the 8530 does not. The 8530 also uses a file system and sticks stuff in file folders where they can some time be difficult to locate.
I have also been informed by several “technical support personnel” that Alltel phones WILL NOT work with Verizon calling plans so buyer beware if you are thinking this will be a cheap phone for your Verizon account look elsewhere. I chose this phone for the simplicity and for the ease of navigation. Before purchasing do your own research on Blackberry’s website. There you can select the carrier that you have and find out what phones Blackberry is currently making for that carrier. Good luck and happy bidding.Read full review
