The Horrors of War.
This mini-series is exceptionally well done. I didn't get to see it on HBO so was all new to me. The depiction of it and the actors who played the parts were excellent. We lost my uncle in one of the very battles portrayed in this film. He was in the 101st and died in a foxhole from a grenade 20 days after his 21st birthday in 1944. So many fine young men lost their lives and the men who played them treated them all with honor.

A Spectacular Account of the Tragedy and Esprit de Corps of WWII
This series has it all! Clearly the best, far-reaching account of a specific combat unit in World War II. Absolutely the best WWII movie ever made!!!

Band of Brothers...The Baddest of the Bad!
Hands down, this is one of the greatest disk collections ever created. The Band of Brothers is the story of Easy Company, a tight-knit crew of World War II soldiers and their journey from the beginning to the end of the war. I have watched this collection through at least 5 times from beginning to end.

In addition to the backdrop of the war, this series is about the stories behind the bonds that these soldiers forged during the war. A lot of my friends were under the impression that this film was a typical war movie involving testosterone and gunpowder, but the truth is that this movie has very little to do with other Lee Marvin films - this movie is about the people.

The craziest part of this series is when you sit back and realize that The Band of Brothers was a real group of people. It actually makes you drift in and out of the Hollywood experience. As deep as you get into the drama, you are snapped back to the reality that the Band of Brothers were REAL PEOPLE.

If you have read any of the Stephen Ambrose books, enjoyed Saving Private Ryan, or have a pulse...you will really enjoy this film.

Currahee!Read full review

A must have if you're a military veteran as I am. And money well spent.
I have seen the HBO mini series and was totally impressed by the way this true story of WWII was depicted and enjoyed watching every minute of the series. When it became available to purchase, I had to have this mini series DVD for my own and can watch it time and again.
I've been totally impressed with actual events of our history especially when it involves our freedom and how it was accomplished. This DVD is a MUST HAVE if you enjoy military history as it was shown here in Band of Brothers. I have seen other WWII DVD's but this one specifically brings you into the action like no other. I have enjoyed every miniute of this DVD set.
