It is good, but not excellent
Aside from the flaws of a used iphone that usually comes(scratches on glass, etc) the 4.2.1 iOS is of course, is slow. The GPS option is a rather nice function, but it is unreliable as you could barely get the reception, but it is good enough to see where the heck you are if you get lost.
Since my iphone is jailbroken and unlocked phone, I am able to use different carriers than just AT&T, making switches of sim card if needed. This is rather standard, but it is also at least four times expensive without a contract.
Also, besides the fact that this is also an out-dated iphone, the touch screen is rather superior than most touchscreen smartphones I had experienced.
Now, since it doesn't come with something like an iphone finder, if i lose it, i lose a great deal of investment. So I have to make sure i won't lose it.
The phone is widely commercialized and famous so there are a tons of paid and free apps.
I have to say, Apple(the company) is ingenious with its business strategies.
If I update iTunes(but i don't, only the essential drivers), the jailbroken will fail and who knows what other setbacks might occur. The iphone itself cannot connect directly with a USB and needs special programs to do so. If you're not tech savvy enough to follow online instruction guides, you won't be able to put your mp3/mp4 into your iphone. I was rather caught off guard with that perspective.
It is unfortunate that the mp4 formatted videos for psp could not be played as it is a different codec. I hope that a free app(maybe it is already available) will eventually come out so I could use my psp formats.
So yes, I really really hate apple for these things, just to keep their expensive iphones in demand as they really try to fight(succeeding for a few days or weeks before failing agian, but it is enough) agianst these jailbroken/unlock in their own way.Read full review

Worth The Money, Trust me!!
I was originally an Iphone skeptic, not liking the small screen size or the low megapixel camera. The day I finally got one all of that changed. The technology of the Iphone makes it highly efficient, with little to no freezing and no long periods of waiting for it to load. The camera is surprising good, and the screen size turned out not to be a limiting factor (coming from somebody who currently owns a HTC HD2 for T-Mobile). The app store has immense proportions with literally 1000s of free apps. The applications definitely make the Iphone a "Stand alone" product. I bought a 3G for my younger sister, and my next purchase will be a Iphone 3GS/ Iphone 4 for myself! If you don't have one yet, you seriously should consider getting one!

It is great value for the money!
An iPhone functions as a video camera, camera phone with text messaging and visual voicemail, a portable media player, and an Internet client with e-mail, web browsing, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The user interface is built around the device's multi-touch screen, including a virtual keyboard rather than a physical one. Third-party as well as Apple applications are available from the App Store, which launched in mid-2008 and now has well over 300,000 "apps" approved by Apple. These apps have diverse functionalities, including games, reference, GPS na...Read full reviewvigation, social networking, security and advertising for television shows, films, and celebrities.so, I like it and I thank it is very good for you.

So much power in the palm of your hand
The good: The Apple iPhone 3G offers critical new features including support for high-speed 3G networks, third-party applications, and expanded e-mail. Its call quality is improved and it continues to deliver an excellent music and video experience.
The bad: The iPhone 3G continues to lack some basic features that are available on even the simplest cell phone. Battery life was uneven, and the 3G connection tended to be shaky. Also, the e-mail syncing is not without its faults.
The bottom line: The iPhone 3G delivers on its promises by adding critical features and sharper call quality. The iTunes App Store is pretty amazing, and the 3G support is more than welcome. Critical features still are missing, and the battery depletes quickly under heavy use, but the iPhone 3G is a big improvement over the original model.Read full review

Sciphone i9 3g with wifi
The quality of this new model seems to be improved compared to the previous model.
The touch screen became more sensitive and accurate, there is even some kind of multi zoom, just for fun of course. wifi is fast and really finds the spots. the G sensor is much accurate then in previous model. the phone is equipped with 2 cameras, which are still far-far away from being good, but the resolution improved. The OS needs many improvements, it is not easy to install applications on this phone, even java ones that the phone is supposed to be designed for them. For example "Fring"- is impossible to install, at least it was for me. The build in Opera mini is a little bit slow, but looks nice. There is one really annoying thing in all sciphones i had before- it is about 8- there are many build in apps, including media player, that are in Chinese, even if the phone is in English
To summarize: it is not an iPhone, just a nice looking toy, but the price compared to iPhone is also a toys price.
Nice as a gadget, or a present to your kid, but as a real multimedia device it will not do the job.Read full review
