Classic Nelson Pass design in a 300-watt giant killer that rivals Krell.
One of the best kept secrets in audio. This top-of-the-line 300-watt amp rivals the mighty Krell (which I also own) in its clean power and transparent sound. But its price is 5x less! A class-A amplifier featuring a design by the great Nelson Pass, both RCA and XLR (balanced) inputs, and it's built like a tank. Plenty of protection built into the amp, so you can run virtually any speaker, no matter how demanding. A significant step up from their classic 200-watt GFA-555.

Good value for money
Loved it all the way..Its a well built amp.. Its a nice unit with lots of power . I will definitely consider buying this amp again or recommend to an audiophile who loves hi-end sound for less..

Not bad for the money
I would not pay over $800 for these. I own 3 of them based on reviews. They sound pretty good. I eq mine to get the sound I prefer, I think they are kind of dry sounding without it, imo. They have decent low end thump and they are powerful. I purchased the matching 750 preamp (blue board) with these, I am not a big fan of it at all. Very dry sounding, no balls at all. I own 4 yamaha amplifiers also: (1) mx1000, (1) m85, and (2) m80. These amps sound superior in every way to me. Tight, thump, clarity, and every bit of detail you've been missing, plus user friendly (level control). I am getting all the yamahas serviced (recapped) and will put them back in my system, I will sell all the adcom stuff, my ears tell me that the Yamaha stuff is superior. This is just my listening opinion. If you believe otherwise, I respect that also!Read full review

Excellent amplifier designed by Nelson Pass
The Adcom GFA-5802 was designed for Adcom by Nelson Pass, considered by many one of the world's best audio engineers. The amp was highly reviewed by most audio magazines and I've owned 2 for many years along with other quality amplifiers. These amps use MosFet output devices and three vs. 5 gain stages. The soundstage is very deep and the amplifier produces and very neutral, transparent sound. The amp is very high damping factor and very high current. Highly recommended for all speakers but superb on electrostatic.
