Better than Ipad2
I've been looking for a tablet for a while already, my laptop is getting old and a tablet would be easier for me to carry around college campus. My mom bought my aunt an Ipad2 a while ago and asked me if I want one as well, I didn't want to spend 500 bucks at that time to get a little tablet when I can spend 500 bucks and get a decent laptop, I tried to use the ipad, Apple products in general can't do the things I'd do on a PC, so I felt iffy about the ipad. However, the Ipad2 is still one of the best rated tablets with cameras in the market, until I see a deal for Acer a100. the size is smaller, the weight is lighter than an Ipad, which makes it easy to carry around, it also has just about everything an Ipad offers. The camera's excellent, the applications are great. at times it's a little tough to type, and the screen lags once in a while, but for the price, I have no other complaints. I usually keep the Wifi and GPS on, therefore the battery life is only about 4 hours maximum, which is perfectly fine with me, because I can use it none-stop for 4 hours, and it only takes around half an hour to recharge, unlike an Ipad, which takes around 2 hours to charge. I'm a music major, and I sometimes use music apps on this thing, the sound quality is excellent. The memory is only 8GB, but I don't need that much anyway, I bought a mini USB 16GBjust in case, which only cost around 10 dollars, as if you want to buy a tablet with larger memory, you have to spend at least 50 dollars or more. I highly recommend this product, give it a try!Read full review

Awesome product, great value for money. love it!
This is one of the best kept secrets in PC Tablets, I would buy ten of these before I buy one Ipad. It is amazing how much you can do with this 7' tablet, all of my friends now want one. Far better than any PC Tablet out there.

Small enough to carry, big enough to read the screen.
I purchased this as a possible replacement for an ereader and laptop. While it works very well, and has the output ports I needed, it does work as an ereader for me. My eyes can not read the backlit screen.
I am very happy with the display of this tablet. It has enough memory to run the applications I need, a spreadsheet, games, web browser, and email. It is small enough to carry with me, yet big enough to allow me to read the screen. The audio is excellent for my ears.
This is the first touchscreen device I have purchased, and can not compare it to others. I am learning the benefits of using the touch screen. I do like the ability to plug in either a large computer monitor or TV and see the video on a big screen. Since this tablet switches automatically to the the large screen, it is very easy to switch back and forth.
I have recommended this device to others as a beginners tablet. It serves my purposes very well.Read full review

THE BEST 7" tablet, so far!
I chose the Acer Iconia A100 based on its great reviews on other sites (including some tech-specific sites), and because it was much more affordable than an Apple ipad 2, which would have been my first choice, if I had had the money.
I wanted a tablet that could do everything a Kindle Fire or Nook could do, PLUS forward and rear-facing cameras and video recording, for easy, all-in-one-place photo-taking and uploading, and video-chatting, etc. I decided that I preferred the smaller 7" size of this tablet, which makes it much more portable, too.
This is my first tablet computer. I love it! It seems to work just about as well as an Apple, in terms of great touch response, good wi-fi reception, and the screen/image is clear and bright. But, being used to a PC, with Windows-Vista, I have not figured out everything there is to know about using it, so I am not getting the maximum benefit out of it. That's my only real complaint about this tablet - it's not so easy to learn to use. Getting online is easy, getting android apps is fairly easy (plus I've got Kindle on it, so can get any Kindle e-book), but saving/naming/organizing/accessing files is the part I haven't figured out yet. I don't know how to upload photos from the Acer Iconia to Facebook yet. (I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.)
It does take great photos - and the rear camera has a built in LED flash!
I had to download a special app to watch HULU shows on it, and after downloading that app, I suddenly wasn't able to listen to my favorite radio station's web-based radio broadcast anymore. So I guess there are some compatibility issues between various apps.
One other drawback is that the battery needs recharging fairly frequently. A charge only lasts about 5 to 9 hours, depending how much you use it. But since I usually have access to an outlet to recharge it when I need to, that hasn't been a problem for me.
OK, last drawback - it seems that these tablets are no longer being made! It was apparently just a limited one-time production! So, if you want one, you're going to have to get it used. But it's well worth anything up to $300, as of this writing! I believe it is THE BEST tablet of its size!Read full review

You won't regret your purchase!
I can't rave enough about this tablet. It does everything and more. Great device - well built, super fast. The frontwards and backwards facing cameras are great for skype-ing with family and friends. Apps and games are readily available through the Android market. Easily upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich.
This is my second Acer Iconia A100. I loved mine so much that I surprised my daughter with a reburbished one for a fraction of the price I paid for mine. My granddaughter wants one for Christmas. So I guess I'll buy my third Acer pretty soon.
I would definitely recommend this tablet to anyone who wants a good portable, vivid android tablet.
