This price guide was fine for looking up history on some guitars-mostly Gibson and Fender and other well known name brands. The pictures were black&white, small, and unspectacular. The values were limited to "Low and High" in excellent condition. It was woefuly lacking information on lesser known brands and several models of some better known ones.In other words,it is no "Kovels". I can not rate it as bad; it simply did not have much info I couldn't glean from other sources. It is not really a collectors' book,in my opinion. It is more of a thumbnail reference. It is an enjoyable read, though. The history of some brands and models is very interesting. It does seem to touch on most brands.Sometimes only a very short paragraph. It is not a comprehensive study by any means. That being said,it is a good basic general guide for relative(and I mean relative, not absolute)values between the major name guitar brands. I would like to see an expansion of this guide into lesser known brands and some decent color pictures. I have to give it an average rating.I hope I did not offend anyone.Read full review
