1993 F 250 Plow Truck
I bought this truck to plow my driveway, and have an around town truck. Drivetrain was as to be expected with a truck with 180K, with the exception of the sellers description of the transmission needed work. I spoke with the seller about this, and was optiamistic that it could be fixed at a low cost. Turns out he was mistaken. It did not need work. It needed a transmission, as the one in the truck was cracked. The small hole in the drives floor was the lack of a floor. If you buy a truck sight unseen be prepared to be mislead to help a seller reach a higher profit. Make sure you checkout any vehicle top to bottom, even if you have to drive a way to do it. Personal definations can be manipulated to suit personal needs. After I made all the necessary repairs I have a great truck. Plows like its nobody's business, and has helped me become independent of the former plow guy. I look foward to the warmer weather to finish fixing the pickup. If you are looking for a decent truck, this era ford is less expensive than a chevy, and more reliable than a dodge. The 8 ft fisher plow really moves the snow and anything else in its way. 1993 Ford F-250 from Lee's auto sales CT
I bought this truck for snow removal. What do I like about this truck? Ithasn't broke down in at least a week. What do I dislike about this truck? I bought it for $3,550.00 and I spent another $2,900 in repairs. Why did I keep sticking money into this junk you ask? Because I have 3 huge plowing accounts and ths truck is half my fleet. And snow removal is my only source of income in the winter.
