Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is popular stage for automakers to reveal new concepts and make special announcements. This year is no exception with Infiniti using the 62nd annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance as the venue for the Emerg-e Concept North American debut.

The infiniti Emerg-e Concept is 402 hp range-extended electric sports car concept with a sleek carbon fiber shell and a pair of motors capable of accelerating from 0 – 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. In a seamless 30 second burst, the Emerg-e can reach 130 mph. Its range as a zero emission car is 30 miles. On-board is a Lotus-based 3-cylinder engine for the purpose of recharging the batteries and adding more zip to the electrical system when there are heavy demands.

“It is always an honor to be included among the prestigious activities during the week of the Pebble Beach Concours and this year we’re bringing our most advanced concept ever,” said Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore. “Named ‘Best in Show’ at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Infiniti Emerg-e truly is one of the most technically interesting and artfully sculpted automobiles in the world today. It is a major achievement in both engineering and design.”
