The Hart and Huntington Off-Road Team traveled to Miller Motorsports Park, just 35 minutes south west of Salt Lake City, Utah, to compete in Rounds 7 and 8 of the Lucas Oil Off-Racing Series.

Video highlights of Round 7 after the jump.

For Round 7, Josh Merrell would start the #22 MAVTV PRO-4 in the middle of the pack while Ryan Beat would bring up the rear with the #46 eBay Motors Truck as the last vehicle behind the entire field in the PRO-4 race.

Merrell went hard at the start and maneuvered the MAVTV Truck into a good position for a podium spot. Unfortunately, the #22 did not finish due to a transmission failure on Lap 6. The crew was able to find the cause of the failure and prep the truck for Sunday’s Round 8 PRO-4 race.

Merrell is looking forward to pushing through the field. “It is just a bummer today. The guys have been working so hard and the 100 degree heat and harsh winds. It is just rougher than ever. Even with how unpredictable track conditions, we got this truck working real good. We are going to make Round 8 my race for MAVTV , Hart and Huntington and General Tire.”

Ryan Beat, PMG Team Driver of the #46 eBay Motors PRO-4 Truck approached the race with a bit more reserve. His strategy was to race methodically and make no mistakes and it paid off nicely. “We put up a lot to get these trucks out here. I want to make the most of this opportunity and my job is to bring the equipment back straight and in one piece. My lap times put me right near the front of the field,” declared Ryan. I know I could bang doors, push guys out of my way and put this eBay Truck on the podium, but for today I will settle for a nice fourth place finish.“ His efforts to race clean make Beat a favorite of the fans and is also well liked in the pits.

Ryan’s swift driving mojo followed him into the ProLite event where he was a dominant force leading the first part race. Beat who qualified second fastest, has been extremely fast and consistent all season and Round 7 was a breakthrough where he fended off 2011 Class Champion Brian Deegan for six laps and shut down division leader RJ Anderson. Ryan preps his own truck and with Premiere Motorsports Group, eBay Motors Truck, and Black Rhino providing support they have achieved goal 1 with a second place finish and are now seeking a victory in Round 8.
