eBay Listing: 1985 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S

As the go-to bedroom car poster for boys growing up in the ’80s, the easily recognizable Lamborghini Countach wedge shape and sharp angles became synonymous with fast and luxurious living.

This 1985 Countach is said to be one of only 37 produced with factory fuel injection tuned by Jasjit Rarewala of Lamborghini North America. In 1982 Rarewala reverse engineered the system to replace the six Weber carbs that were preventing Countach importation to the U.S.

The distinctive, concave wheels appear in remarkable condition, as does the rest of the car. It’s obvious its first 22,962 miles were well cared for. The Merlot Rosso is glass like and hardly and road rash is viewable from the photos. Fortunately the U.S.-spec bumpers are the smaller, earlier ones, as the later ones were much more jarring. The custom two-tone interior is just as clean as the exterior. A few scuffs on the console and some light wear on the driver’s seat were the only visible flaws.

The full service history comes with the car — always a plus with high-end exotics. The tires and clutch are in “excellent” condition. The seller also says the car starts right up, and runs and drives well.

Not even a handful of 1982–85 Countach LP5000S sold on eBay Motors in the past five years. Good to excellent examples averaged from $72k to $107k. Click here to see this rare Italian bull.
