Best Friend Gifts Karmann Ghia

Will you be my Valentine?

Will you be my Valentine if I give you a ’71 Karmann Ghia?

Five years ago, this 1971 Karmann Ghia was gifted to a close friend who the seller, lanciaink, has known for over 20 years since junior high school. This close friend had gone through a tough year and he wanted to give her something to cheer her up. So he did a little searching through the classifieds and found a great deal on a 1971 VW Karman Ghia.

In the owner’s own words: “For the person who’s really hard to get a gift for, the classic car might just be the perfect idea. Depending on what you get, they will always enjoy driving it, and it should be much cheaper than running a modern car. Insurance tends to be inexpensive, and if you get a more main-stream classic, parts will be readily available.”

This Willow Green convertible has been in good hands and there are receipts dating as far back as 1973. In addition to the receipts, the sale includes the original Volkswagen Official Service Manual.

It has real glass in the convertible top and the top works great. The car has been well cared for under its current owner, but it rarely gets driven (only 3,000 miles in 5 years) so it is time for it to go to its next owner. Maybe the winning bidder will present the car to their best friend as a Valentine’s Day gift.
