eBay Listing: 1965 Datsun 320 pickup

Asian, Classics  /   /  By Tony Piff

These early Datsun pickups have a quirky, appealing style all their own–more like a Morris Minor pickup than a Toyota Hilux, and every bit as tiny as they look in photos. You see them come to market from time to time, but they always have a handful of needs, at least.

This one is the cleanest we’ve seen in some time, and it sounds like a well sorted, well maintained runner. The seller says he’s owned it for more than a decade and calls it “98% stock.” The modern-style interior upholstery clashes with the utilitarian metal dash but is in keeping with the truck’s overall shiny, tidy appearance.

Also included are the original engine hand crank (which we’d frankly use as often as possible until the truck backfired and broke someone’s arm) and 320 books (which seems like a typo), plus the jack and a N.O.S. radiator.

32 Datsun 320s sold on eBay Motors in the past three years,  averaging $4,500 for excellent examples. This one looked like a deal when we spotted it at a bid of $4,100 and no reserve. See the listing here.
