1965 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III 2+2 Roadster

Classics, European  /   /  By Derek Mau

Near perfect example of a Tartan red and black 1965 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III roadster that is rust free and always garaged. Listing description notes that this “Big Healey” was restored a few years ago and 150+ photo gallery showing off multiple angles of the car – including the underbody with the car on a lift.

The Big Healey MK III 2+2 convertible boasts more power over earlier visions – 148 hp from bored out 2.9L engine compared to the earlier 2.6L engine – a restyled dashboard with wood paneling, and a center console between the seats. Recently restored mechanicals amounts to a car that performs much better than its age suggests. Also, this is one of the “Phase II” versions with the modified rear axle location (radius arms) and chassis alterations allowing more suspension travel.
