A WONDERFUL vintage Christmas tree stand by Snapit in the original box. Cat. No. 1970.  Box reads: Illuminated Electric Christmas Tree Stand in Christmas green color with outlet (for tree lights) and handy on/off switch on the cord. Made in USA. For use only with artificial trees up to 8 ft and not more than 25 lbs.

SPECS & CONDITION: This is made of durable green plastic and has a metal brace on the bottom & metal ring around the top opening. It has the original screws to tighten the base of the tree and the opening is 1 1/2 inches, so your tree base/stem can not be larger than that. Bottom is 12 2/3 across. Marked on label, 5 w 115 v.  Takes 2 standard Holiday tree bulbs as shown. The white ones that were in it, come with the unit. Cord looks very good...No dry rot or breaks.

This has been tested and the lights work (they cast a soft hue)... also the outlet for the tree lights works. No breaks in the plastic base, looks great....some mild surface abrasion but overall a real beauty. Early, still has the 4.98 selling sticker on the side of the box.

Box looks good. Expect some tape, creases & someone wrote xmas in black crayon, on one side. General box wear & abrasion to ends/flaps etc.

I checked around for info about the Snapit company....they generally made vintage Christmas & lanterns but I could not find any other tree stands.

**I would pair this up with a smaller, lightweight aluminum tree or feather tree since it is not made of heavy metal or cast iron.
