The Teaching Train Kit

The Teaching Train's active play promotes learning numbers, colors, and new vocabulary. Young Learners will get up and out of their seats to march around the room singing familiar tunes and Activities.

For Learning Colors-  Read the Story Poem "The Color Train" Have each train car ready to hand to a child as you read the poem. When you come to each train car, choose a student to come to the front of the class and hold the train car for all to see. 

Example-

There once was an engine all dressed in black (hand child the black train) who spent his life on the railroad track.....  continue reading poem till all train car colors have been choosen. When the poem is finished, have the children walk around the room singing "The Train Went Over the Mountain" which is included in book.
