Roman Games has been selling new and used video games on the Internet since November 2003.  We opened this store to resolve issues in shipping prices for our heavier, special, and bulkier items.  Due to new eBay policies, some items may include the shipping as a part of the price.  Don’t let any single eBay seller or listing fool you – any item showing free shipping has the shipping somewhere in the cost and handling.

Our payment and return policies are rather stringent, but we need them to keep our prices competitive and to bring the best value for your hard earned video game dollar.  Video games are a fun activity and should not stop you from buying your groceries or paying your mortgage.

Payment
Payment must be made via PayPal within 5 days of purchase.  Nonpayment for merchandise or bid withdrawal will result in negative feedback.  WE ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL -- no other payment methods.  Please do not email requesting alternative forms of payment or send us unsolicited offers to sell us merchandise or listings.  Please do not negotiate our prices through email; customers are welcome to help us identify the appropriate shipping cost for foreign orders.

Shipping Destinations and Formats
Roman Games will ship to North America, Canada, and countries using the NTSC format.  All sales are final and will not be refunded.  We are not responsible if you find the game is not compatible with your system.

Rating Policies
Buyers with negative ( -1 or less ) ratings may not purchase games from us.  Buyers with unconfirmed Paypal addresses are responsible for any issues with shipment delays and lost packages.

We love brand new eBay customers and first time buyers.  Please ask us if you need any help with your product selection or purchase.  Due to our size and the number of emails received, it may take as many as five (5) business days to respond.   Please email us if you have any concerns BEFORE you decide to leave negative feedback or a low rating in any purchasing category (e.g., 1 or 2 out of 5).

Email and Communication
Questionable or harassing emails sent to us may be totally ignored.  Emails received that contain information against eBay policies may be reported to eBay and/or Paypal.

If you are unhappy with your item, please tell us in a kind way with manners.  Email written in all CAPITALS will also be treated as potentially threatening.  Potentially threatening emails will be ignored or discussed with eBay and/or Paypal. 

Any emails trying to get a “free item” or using coercion on preventing negative feedback on the first email communication will also be treated as potentially fraudulent.  Any potential fraudulent representation on the part of the buyer may be investigated and prosecuted in the appropriate legal authorities covering the seller and buyer areas.

Edition, Collector's Value, and "Greatest Hits" / "Platinum Hits" and the like
The edition or version of the game sold within this ad is not specified to due our "first in, first out" inventory policy. 

• The first game we have on hand fitting this description and matches the UPC on the listing will be the one sent to you. 
• The purchased game could be any edition of the game released by the game maker because that is what our distributors have provided us to sell. 
• In a few cases, games are listed using the closest description of the item on hand but the UPC differs, this difference will be noted in the listing as such when we find the difference.  (Sometimes for later releases or other reasons games may have different UPC codes.)

Only listings where we specifically have in the main opening header the words "ORIG", "ORIGINAL", or "COLLECTOR'S EDITION" (not "Kollector's Edition") are cases where we have specifically priced and listed the game as a collector's item.

All other sale listings are normal game sales. 

We are aware that the original editions of games are worth more than (in some cases, many times over) the "Greatest Hits/Platinum Hits/Best Seller/Player's Choice" releases.  It is unfortunate that eBay's stock photo system does not consistently use the Greatest Hits picture for each game that is Greatest Hits or similar edition.  We may or may not add custom pictures showing off part or all of the condition of the item in the listing.

NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES will be given on basis of edition when the listing is a normal game sale.

New Game and Merchandise Sales
Furthermore, any games sold as "NEW" cannot be opened to see what version of the software is.  Buyer takes responsibility on finding out themselves after they purchase the item and play the game.  We cannot be held liable for something we do not know about when the game is still factory sealed.  The manufacturer -- not Roman Games -- will need to support any manufacturing defects.

For new video games, systems, and accessories, the item is shipped in original, unopened packaging and sold "as-is."  If we tested the product before shipment, it would ruin its 'new' condition.  New products have not been used or opened previously (unless marked 'new in opened package').  Therefore, any and all warranty claims, use, or questions must be honored through the manufacturer for 'new' or 'new in opened package' items. 

Buyers are welcome to request a test of their 'new' item before shipment if they fully pay for the item first.  Please send a written request via email (prior to shipment confirmation) acknowledging that Roman Games may open the package and the buyer is now buying the product as 'new in opened package.'  No refunds or exchanges given for a successfully tested 'new in opened package' item.

New items may not be exchanged 48 hours (2 real days rather than 2 business days) after arrival of product based on delivery confirmation date and time.  No refunds for opened new items.  This policy reflects the scenario where some seasoned video gamers who can complete a game in less than 48 hours and try to return the game.  We sincerely apologize to anyone who is offended by our 'opened new item' policy.

'New in opened package' items will only be advertised as such when the item comes from a distributor or wholesaler, not an individual.  Buyers are welcome to request a test of their 'new in opened package' item before shipment if they fully pay for the item.  Please send a written request via email (prior to shipment confirmation) acknowledging that Roman Games may test the item.  No refunds or exchanges given for a successfully tested 'new in opened package' item.

Used Game and Merchandise Sales
Used merchandise is tested prior to shipment, and once shipped, it is sold "as-is."  No refunds or exchanges for ANY reason.  Roman Games cleans and tests the game before shipment.  Buyer and/or end user may have to clean their own system and/or the game before the game will work for them.  This policy was started due to the limitations, wear, and age of Nintendo NES system and games and now extends to all systems.

Exchanges are reviewed by the Roman Games' legal committee and can only be exchanged for the same product if approved.  Any items sent back to Roman Games will be returned to the buyer unless the exchange has been approved.

MUZE, eBay, and Other Autopopulated Provided Information
We are not responsible for any information provided by MUZE for this ad.  Since it's their copyrighted information, it's their responsibility and ownership because we cannot edit it and we did not provide it.  MUZE information autopopulated in this listing is copyrighted by MUZE, and this information (including any inaccuracies, misleading information, mistakes, and/or false information -- especially with the stock picture or edition) is owned by MUZE.

Lastly, we do not endorse any of sponsors and/or advertisers that may appear alongside our items as supported by eBay.  Roman Games pays for a monthly store fee to show its eBay store listings and does NOT receive any subsidy or cut in the advertisement sales if a buyer clicks on an ad populated within our own listing.

Roman Games Country Specific Shipment Information
We reserve the right to handle items up to 5 business days after payment received and before product shipped.  This time does NOT include the USPS handling time.  Since the USPS is a third party vendor to handle the games, we are not responsible if they take longer than advertised time periods for the method of shipment selected for your country. 

Roman Games typically groups items together in batches to ship, so for many orders, we will ship typically within 2 business days of payment received.  But this fact does not override our right to have as long as 5 business days to ship in case issues arise with an order or payment for our eBay orders.

United States Customers:

• Most items are shipped USPS First Class or Priority with USPS delivery confirmation and insurance.  Systems are typically shipped USPS Priority, and in some cases, Flat Rate Priority is selected depending on weight and bulk.  Items now offered differently are noted in the comments and description.
• ‘Free Shipping’ includes at least part of the shipping cost in the item’s price.  eBay strictly controls the shipping prices, and because we are a smaller merchant, we do NOT get price breaks on mass amounts of shipping due to our smaller levels of sales.  The price of the shipping, delivery confirmation, and insurance MUST be covered.  Don’t let any single eBay listing or seller fool you – the cost of the shipping is included in some part or form in the price of the item. 
• Our recent hike in prices is in response that eBay's new rule does not allow customer choice: all U.S. sales MUST come with delivery confirmation and shipping insurance.  Insurance is part of the USPS handling cost of the listing.  This decreases the number of products we will list because we will not sell items that we cannot cover the cost of shipping and still make a profit on the item.
• For any item where the monies collected total up to be less than the cost of shipping, the shipping choice will be made on the least expensive method rather than the listed one.  This clause will only be enacted for very specific circumstances.
• The price of the item and/or monies collected for shipping above the cost of the USPS shipping cost: packages, gas, tape, tape gun accessories, and other packaging supplies.  Monies above the base cost of shipping also may include the payment of wages to employees of Roman Games to test your item specifically AGAIN for you before shipment to verify its condition and your satisfaction.

• The insurance covers damage and breakage in shipping for United States sales.  Claims on damage must be made through the USPS, our shipping carrier.

• Roman Games is not responsible for any items shipped to an invalid shipping address and for merchandise stolen to an empty residence or a residence without security.

• For any disputes, delivery confirmation will show arrival of product to the customer.  This number may or may not be sent with the delivery confirmation email from Roman Games.  The number may or may not be included in our sales listing on the eBay purchases console (e.g., ‘items won’ page).  Buyers are always welcome to email requesting additional information on shipment.

Canadian Customers:

• Games are shipped USPS First Class International or Priority Mail International.  Systems are shipped USPS Priority International with insurance.  The USPS does not offer USPS delivery confirmation or insurance at this time for First Class International. 
• Canadian customers sometimes get a break in some shipping prices due to its proximity to the United States.  For rare or expensive games and merchandise, we may not offer First Class because of the delivery confirmation and insurance requirements.

• Roman Games is not responsible for shipping delays, breakage, or seizures due to customs searches or handling of the item. The customs form will be used as another method of showing the item was shipped in cases of dispute.

• Foreign buyers are responsible for any shipping or customs damage no matter the cost of the item.  This request must be made before the purchase if not offered on the listing.
