Neodymium Flat can-motor 5 skewed poles

This is a high quality Iron core 5 pole skewed armature motor with Neodymium  magnets. This motor is 20 mm wide by 22 mm high by 32 mm long.  It has a single 2.5 mm shaft.

You may substitute the double shaft 20 by 22 by 48 mm!!  This listing is 2033 or 2048 single shaft without the gearhead Check other listings for the 2033 with the gearhead and the 2048 double shaft with and without the gearhead and a ratio of 5.5 or 30 to 1.

The magnets are Neodymium which is 35 times as powerful as Alnico this doubles or triples the motor torque. These motors spec at 3 oz inches of torque which is about double or triple the 1833 Mashimas I carry and sell.  The secret is Neodymium Rare earth magnets.

The faulhaber 2224SR motor has 3 oz inches and neodymium magnets but it is a $150-200 motor.

This motor 2232 listed here  is one of the most powerful available in the model railroad market.  It was made for a Popular Model railroad motor maker well known in the market and they were bought surplus.

The same type motor only a little larger--cylindrical 26 mm (about 1 inch) and 42 mm (1.75 inches) long is available in 7 pole single shaft with ball bearings and skew windings and about 9 oz inches of torque. look for listing soon for that motor.

With ball bearings and skew wound poles and  about 10,000 rpm at 12 volts these should handle any power needs you have!!

 This is high power flat can motor is ideal for  brass or plastic loco diesel or steam loco. It flywheels a few seconds and thats enough to coast you through switchwork for several inches to prevent stalling the  steam or diesel locomotive through dirty or rough track.

Flywheels are available from the motorman to fit your size.

This motor has 3 sets of bolt circles on 15 16 and 17 mm diameter. A similar motor is available from Pittman.   

This motor delivers about 2 oz inches of stall torque. .

 These motors flywheel  a few 

seconds because they have ball bearings with a flywheel  the locomotive your engine will coast a few inches through dirty or rough trackwork!!  Motorman can make custom flywheels to fit your space.

Because this is a large motor it will only fit  in the large Steam,  The short locomotive pictured is a Rivarossi 2-8-4 berkshire and may require some work to fit a center shaft assembly in that offset system. 

These motors will power the older HO Rivvy  mallett, cab forward, challenger or big boy!! With the offset drive system. Amidshps with U joints to both towers.

The HO cab forward on motormans website pictured has coreless 16 mm by 24 motors with center shaft gearheads in 6.3 ratio and required milling of the chassis---A single motor at the rear may be easier to install.  2 of the 2020 or 2630 gearmotors motors will work.
