*** POST PHOTO NOTE: This linen is SOOOO much more
beautiful in person!  I just could not capture the beauty
in the photographs... whitework linens are so hard to
do justice to with just a digital camera and incorrect lighting. 

This is a pure snowy white European silky smooth
antique bolster pillow case / sham
with a dreamy whitework embroidery design on the front
of petite daisy flowers and tiny French knot centers,
scrolly leafy vines in a wreath-like cartouche pattern
accented with delicate wispy ribbons tied in a bow.

This is a fabulous tube style linen (no seams) with
embroidered scalloped edges at both side openings.
It  measures a large 22" x 33.5",
so it should just fit one of today's king size pillows
or perhaps a standard or queen size with a nice
floppy overhang on the edges.

EXCELLENT CONDITION ~
No holes;
it has a small storage spot at one edge on the back
and a few areas with natural fabric slubs.
It has a pinpoint gray mark and a pinpoint storage spot
on the front, none of which detracts from
the romantic beauty of this gorgeous antique linen!
It also has an old laundress' fabric label inside
that says TL 56; it could be peeled off, but I've left it
as I believe it adds such a special glimpse into the past!

This was probably part of a bride's wedding trousseau;
it is so lovely and would be so romantic
paired with other white vintage linens!!!
