Publisher's Note
This paperbound edition of the standard introduction to Hopi jewelry is identified as a revised edition (but it's not clear whether it's a reprint). The first edition was published in 1982, and several new editions have appeared over the years. Here, Wright's history and discussion of styles and workmanship is accompanied by a catalog identifying hallmarks of artists who began work as late as 1996, and including identification of artists who began working as early as 1890 (many of whom didn't use hallmarks).
