This doll was a gift to my mother from a friend back in 1994 and her notes list "St. Petersburg - village" which may be where this doll was made although there is no tag stating this on the doll.   Later, my mother also found a Russian peasant boy to match her, but I've already sold that doll.  This young lady is made of a great variety of fabrics and trims giving her almost a gypsy-like feel.  Even her feet are made from a colorful printed fabric!  Her hair is made of black yarn plaited into long braids that come out from under her Babushka (scarf) and get tied with a shimmery blue ribbon bow.  Her facial features are drawn and painted upon the white cloth that makes her face.  She stands about 12" tall and is a truly delightful doll in all ways.

I mostly sell the dolls, doll books, and doll patterns from my mother's collections, but since she had an interest in all things multicultural I have other interesting items that I’m putting up for auction as well.  Please note that the dolls come from a non-smoking home where we did have pets - in case this is important for you to know.

I'll gladly combine shipping if you should win more than one auction.  But if you do win more than one auction please wait for a revised invoice so that I can ship them to you with discounts that will cover the reduced amounts of shipping costs when shipping more than one in a box.  I can delay the shipment up to 15 days if you contact me saying that you’re waiting on another auction.

Note: I do ship internationally to most countries but the cost of shipping is dependent on which country it has to go to and how you want it shipped.
