This is a very special apron and a piece of history of a people and their art. This apron was hand woven by someone from the Lummi tribe in Marietta, Washington. It is in very good condition only one of the tie ends needs a little stitching. The weave is pink and white with gold thread thread running through some of the pattern. The photo of the apron on the sofa is a more yellow than the apron actually is. The other photos show accurate color. The apron comes from a smoke free and pet free home. The measurements are 53" wide from apron tie end to apron tie end and the apron itself is 17" tall x 28" wide The Lummi are "The People of the Sea" They are the Lhaq'temish, The Lummi People. They are from Washington's northernmost coast and southern British Columbia. The Lummi website tells their history and how for thousands of years they lived life on the shores and waters of Puget Sound. I always try to disclose an items condition to the best of my ability. Vintage and antique items often have general wear from age. Please understand these items are rarely in brand new condition and that is much of their charm.
