Every once in awhile, a simple piece of technology comes along that makes you wonder how you lived without it. With the Talking Caller ID Unit, you’ll know who’s calling, even before you grab the handset. The audio announce makes this an ideal device for the visually impaired. The SBC Talking caller ID Unit announces the caller’s name from the Caller ID record. The Talking Caller ID unit can be connected to any phone jack. Multiple stations can be used for clear coverage throughout your home. No set-up required -- just plug and play and walk away. Power it with 3 AA batteries This Talking Caller ID unit does NOT include a power adapter! Easy to set up, just plug one end of the supplied telephone line cord into the LINE jack on the unit. Then plug the other end into the telephone line jack. Next plug one line a telephone line cord into the TEL jack of the unit and connect the other end to your telephone. Insert the batteries to power it up! Once you have connected the unit, it is very easy to use. To control the volume, simply turn the knob at the back of the unit. To mute the caller ID announcement, press the MUTE button on the top of the unit. Please note: This unit will announce the number of the caller if the name is not sent from your service provider. Use of this unit requires that you subscribe to a Caller ID Service from your local telephone service provider.
