Why buy an iBathUK mixer shower?
Did you know most mixers sold on eBay will not work on gravity feed (attic) systems?
All of our mixers feature a ¾” inlet making the mixer suitable for use with lower pressure water systems (i.e. tank in the attic systems). The majority of mixers sold on eBay feature a ½” connection which requires a high pressure water system (i.e. combi-boiler) or a water pump. Our mixers also feature large cartridges which are specially designed to work with low pressure systems cheap alternatives with smaller cartridges are not suitable for UK homes.
Did you know most mixers cannot be fitted to exterior walls?
Our mixers have mounting brackets so they can be fitted to either exterior or interior walls.
Did you know most mixers cannot be fitted around tiles and plaster board?
Our mixers have an extra long thread, 3 times the length of cheaper alternatives. The longer thread allows the mixer to be fitted over both plaster boards and tiles.
Did you know cheap mixers not designed for the UK have the hot inlet on the right?
Our mixers are designed for use in the UK and have the standard UK fittings with the hot inlet on the left and cold inlet on the right. This makes fitting the shower a quicker hassle free job, reducing your plumbing costs.
Did you know some mixers feature cheap brass?
We insist on using a high grade brass, which when plated with chrome produces a noticeably sharper, flatter reflection which you will love.
Did you know cheaper mixers are made up of 6 or 7 different parts welded together, increasing the potential for leaks?
Our mixers are cast from one single piece of brass eliminating these weak spots.
Did you know cheap mixers are not easy to maintain?
Our cartridges are fitted from the front, with a tight, leak proof screw thread. Many cheap alternatives require you to remove the entire mixer to replace the cartridge.
Did you know we use only the highest quality raw materials?
Our manufacturer tests the brass to ensure it features a 59 – 62% copper. We only use a minimum of 59% to ensure the longevity of your thermostatic mixer, the higher the brass content the better rust resistance, meaning your thermostatic mixer won’t rust after 6 months. Similar mixers on the market only feature 55 - 58% copper, and simply wont last as long.
Did you know we use the latest technology in the manufacturing process?
We mould our thermostatic mixers by Gravity Die Casting to ensure a stronger more durable mixer. We use CNC Machinery to cut all of the threads on our mixers to ensure 100% accuracy, creating a tighter fit which eliminates leaks. Other manufacturers cut costs by engraving their mixers by hand, these are more susceptible to leaks due to the inaccuracies of hand engraving.
Did you know our thermostatic mixers are hand polished?
Before we chrome our mixers the brass is hand polished to create a great smooth surface that makes it easier for the chrome to bond.
Did you know we finish our thermostatic mixers in 40 microns of Chrome?
Our mixers have a highly reflective mirror finish that stays looking new for longer. We achieve this high quality finish by chrome plating our mixers to a thickness of 40 microns. You can test the quality of chrome by simply placing your finger on the chrome on poor chrome your finger will leave a mark on good chrome your finger print will disappear.
Did you know our thermostatic mixers are double tested?
Our mixers are tested twice during the manufacturing process. Our thermostatic mixers are air pressure tested before they are chrome plated, and water pressure tested before they are packaged, as a result of this there many be some water still inside your mixer when you receive it.
Did you know we offer a 10 Year Guarantee?
Because we go the extra mile and don’t take short cuts in the manufacturing process we are happy to offer a 10 year functionality guarantee.
Working requirements
Our thermostatic showers work on water systems that produce a minimum of 1.0 bar water pressure. This can be achieved by using one of the following systems:
- Combination boiler systems
- Gravity fed systems (only with a pump)
- Megaflow system
- Pumped hot water systems
- Un-vented hot water systems
- Standard pressurized hot water cylinder type systems
