As a retired teacher (33 years in the Classroom) - married to a retired teacher (32 years in the Classroom) - We thought we knew every good thing about Children's Literature....

Among the longest lasting and most interesting is without a doubt ....

The Youth's Companion

Published in Boston weekly from 1827 to 1928 and monthly until its demise a year later.

TYC magazine became the Largest Circulation of American Weekly Family Magazines and presented Wonderful 19th Century Literary Contributors.....

My proximity to Boston aided in the availability of the magazines, yet anything you find ANYTHING in Great condition from just about a Century ago is a Thrilling discovery...
