Our Modded iRobot Roomba® 500 Series comes complete with all the features of the iRobot Roomba® 760* plus the modifications listed below. Each modification that we've made has been specially chosen to increase the cleaning efficiency and / or lifespan of the robot! Additional modifications may be available in our accessories section.

Sealed Bearings Cleaning Head Module

The cleaning head module included with all iRobot Roomba® 500 Series models is prone to malfunction through intrusion of foreign particles.  Hair, dirt, and debris tend to weave their way into the gearbox assembly, decreasing the efficiency and lifespan of your Roomba®.  Our brush deck has been modified by adding three metal bearings to the cleaning heads and drive shaft, safeguarding the gearbox from intruding particles.
HEPA Filter

The two stage / seven layer HEPA type filter material traps 99.97% of everything it gets a hold of along with smog, carcinogens, and viruses. Combined with its environmentally friendly construction and Opti-filt filtration system, the long lasting HEPA type filter will help purify the air in your home for a cleaner, safer living environment.  Choose either HEPA or AeroVac* filters for your Modded Roomba® 500 Series.
Hard Floor Washing

Turn your Roomba® into a hard floor, wet cleaning machine. Use as a duster on your finely finished floors or apply your favorite floor cleaner to make your hard floors such as tile or linoleum dirt and stain free! In seconds, simply attach the ultra soft, cleaning pad in place of Roomba®'s brushes on the bottom of your robot. We include the cleaning pad kit complete with mounting pad and eight long lasting cleaning pads for long term floor cleaning.
Anti-Wedging Unicorn Bumper Extender

The Unicorn Bumper Extender™ is made of a complex blend of flexible polymers that allow Roomba® or Scooba® bumpers to detect a low height or wedge situation and flex enough to allow the robot to spin and escape, providing you with a more reliable cleaning experience. Crafted with optically clear resin to not obstruct any communication to the robot.
6-Arm Side Brush

Clean more effectively in corners and against wall edges with the 6-arm side brush. This brush collects more dirt, dust, and debris than the 3-arm side brush that comes standard with most iRobot Roomba® 500 series models. Made of durable material, this brush is sure to improve Roomba®'s cleaning performance. Side brushes are easy to remove and replace as part of routine maintenance.
KeepOut Strips

KeepOut Strips allow you to safeguard the places where you don't want Roomba® to go. Specially designed soft black strips can be arranged in straight or curved patterns to keep Roomba® away from difficult areas while it cleans the rest of the room. The battery-free strips use Roomba®'s cliff detectors to fool Roomba® into thinking it sees a step, causing it to backup and turn away.
Firmware Update

An important firmware update was released for Roomba® 500 Series models that significantly enhances the battery life and improves Roomba®'s performance. We update the firmware on every Roomba® we sell before shipping them, so you know you have the latest bug fixes and enhancements. If you bought your Roomba® anywhere else, you might not have the latest firmware update.
1-Year Limited Warranty

We include a 1-year warranty on the robot and a 6-Month warranty on the battery with every purchase of a modded Roomba®. The Roombafied limited warranty shall not apply to failures or problems which are caused by products or equipment not authorized by Roombafied. Because the Roomba® that we sell have been intensely modified to include the upgraded features, you will not be able to receive warranty coverage through iRobot Corporation.  However, we cover everything that iRobot covers in addition to all of the modifications that we support.
