All of the piecing for the quilt blocks in this collection is done in your embroidery hoop. The quilting possibilities are endless. You simply place the fabric down, stitch a folding line, fold the fabric and stitch it in place! They are that easy to create. The included tutorial will show you ways to repeat and rotate each block to create a complete quilt with every design. We will also show you how to combine the designs together for even more detailed quilts. The best part about this collection is that you can combine it with other Anita Goodesign collections! Two of our Special Edition collections Garden Gate and Floral Rings as well as Quilter’s Dream, Quilter’s Dream 2 and the original Folded Fabric Quilt Blocks can be combined with these designs. Each of those collections comes in 4 sizes just like this one. At the end of this tutorial you will see examples of how you can use this collection with our other ones. The creative possibilities are limitless. The Orient The Orient collection was inspired by one of our previous releases “Asian Quilt”. The Asian Quilt collection was designed years before the concept of Mix and Match quilting was released. I took a few pieces of the art from that collection and re-digitized them using a bolder bean stitch and folded fabric borders. The end result is like nothing you’ve ever seen. The folded fabric borders really compliment the designs. Faith Quilt I wanted to create a faith inspired quilt that was modern and full of exciting details. That was the inspiration behind the Mix and Match Faith Quilt. There are 16 jumbo blocks that use appliqué and feature popular Christian themes like praying hands, the dove, cross and fish. We used two different batik fabrics as the background and other corresponding batik fabrics as the appliqués in the designs. There are also folded fabric blocks, running stitch blocks and blank blocks included in the collection. Whatever type of quilt you want to create we are giving you plenty of options. As an added bonus we are including all 16 themes separated and rearranged to without the backgrounds to use on shirts or other projects. The individual designs come in two different sizes. Christmas Quilt Blocks This is like two Christmas collections in 1! The first part of the collection consists of Quilt Squares combined with beautiful embroidery designs. The second part of the collection consists of 27 different embroidery designs that look great on clothing and other projects. All of the piecing for the quilt blocks in this collection is done in your embroidery hoop. The quilting possibilities are endless. You simply place the fabric down, stitch a folding line, fold the fabric and stitch it in place! They are that easy to create. The tutorial will show you ways to repeat and rotate each block to create a complete quilt with every design. We will also show you how to combine the designs together for even more detailed quilts in the included tutorial. Blanket Stitch Christmas BlocksWhen we were designing this collection we wanted to create a look that was created by hand while being completely done on your embroidery machine. This collection went through a lot of revisions and color changes before this end result was achieve. We finally decided on a gold and silver tonal color combination. These colors make the designs look luxurious and vintage. The 20 main designs come in blocks and as individual designs. Designs come in 4 sizes and are interchangeable with the other Mix and Match collections. The blocks all include beautiful hand stippling and gorgeous borders. There are also folded fabric blocks, running stitch blocks and blank blocks included in the collection. Whatever type of quilt you want to create we are giving you plenty of options. There are also stippled blocks, blank blocks and individual running stitch designs. Christmas Quilt (135 designs) Last year we
created two collections that combined embroidery with quilting
techniques, Harvest Quilt and Spring Quilt. Those collections combined
multiple types of embroidery designs with quilting techniques. The
Christmas Quilt collection is slightly different. Each block includes an
embroidered element and crazy quilt piecing. This collection has five
different themes: a bell, holly, poinsettia, star and Christmas tree.
Each of those elements is done three different ways, stitched, applique,
and a homespun applique. There are also stitched individual designs
that were used to embellish the napkins. We even carried the theme even
further by creating some pot-holders to match the placemat and napkins. Quilters Holiday (135 Designs) In most parts of the country, just as you start to feel a little chill in the air, that's when we like to start quilting and working on those holiday projects! Good News! We have a collection that has you covered from autumn through December. This collection consists of 10 Halloween designs, 10 Autumn designs and last but least, 25 Christmas designs, all of which come in multiple sizes for a total of 135 designs. Create everything from quilts, to simple embellishments on place mats, napkins or holiday stockings. What better way to enjoy the changing of the seasons than with your Quilters Holiday collection! Quilters Paradise (154 Designs)
Quilters Paradise is a huge collection with over 150 designs to enhance any quilt. They can be used in many different ways such as, standard embroidery by hooping & sewing the top fabric only. You can also embroider the top, the batting & your quilt back, all in the same hooping. You can even use these on quilts you've already completed, simply by using some sticky dissolve away stabilizer. Happy quilting! Homespun Christmas Hand embroidery has made a huge resurgence this year and with our Homespun Christmas collection we wanted to give you a hand embroidered applique look, except it will be done on your machine. The collection consists of traditional felt applique designs and running stitch designs. The felt designs are created using a blanket stitch technique with four layers of cotton thread. The four layers create a thick yarn like look and the use of a blanket stitch is a traditional hand technique. The process used to create the applique is very simple. The running stitch designs are unique as well; instead of a two-layered stitch they are created using seven layers for a thick beautiful look. They are also created using multiple colors so when you use them with the applique designs they coordinate beautifully. The project we created for this collection is a felt layered quilt. I”m sure you will love both the project and the techniques we used in these beautiful vintage Christmas designs. Harvest Quilt (80 designs) For this project we created place mats and napkins. As you can see from
the pictures we used just the apple designs for one of them and the
pumpkin designs for the other. The napkins are embroidered with the
small stitched version of the designs. When we planned this Harvest
Quilt collection we decided to include some of finishing touches of
quilting techniques right in the embroidery designs themselves! We made
four different types of block designs with five different embroidery
design themes. The themes are perfect for fall sewing projects: acorn,
pumpkin, apple, oak and maple leaf. Each design is made in all
four-block styles. Each block is offered in two sizes and the
embroidery designs are also included separately in two sizes. Every
block incorporates an embroidery technique and a quilt technique. Here
is more information about the blocks: 1.Checkerboard block with
stitched embroidery design. This block uses the crazy quilt applique
technique to apply five different fabrics. The first four are a
checkerboard pattern with a fifth square centered. A beautifully
detailed, stitched design is then embroidered in the center of this
final square. 2.Stippled block and applique embroidery design This block contains a standard applique design that is surrounded by hand digitized stippling for a truly hand crafted effect. 3. Striped block with running stitch design. This block also uses the crazy quilt technique to apply five different fabrics in strips. Running stitch designs in a continuous border style are then stitched on, several of the strips to complete the look. 4. Homespun applique design with echo quilting Homespun applique designs are appliques that are finished with a hand digitized blanket stitch instead of a satin stitch. For an authentic hand made look, use felt for your applique pieces. Echo quilting surrounds the design to complete the block. Return to Quilter's Paradise (105 designs) 20 Motif designs in 3 sizes 4.8", 5.8" 6.8". 20 Stitched Designs in 2 sizes 2.8", 3.8". Collection includes 5 stipple frames. When we create the projects for our embroidery designs, we usually add quilting and sewing techniques for a finishing touch. Then, when we display the projects at trunk shows and events, we hear comments that these finishing touches are often what you find the most difficult to do! So, while planning this Spring Quilt collection we decided to include some of these techniques right in the embroidery designs themselves! We made four different types of block designs with five different embroidery design themes. The themes are perfect for spring sewing projects: butterfly, dragonfly, blue bird, daisy and strawberry. Each design is made in all four-block styles. Each block is offered in two sizes and the embroidery designs are also included separately in two sizes. Every block incorporates an embroidery technique and a quilt technique. Rose of Sharon For our latest “Mix and Match” collection we chose a traditional quilting theme, Rose of Sharon. This type of quilt was typically created by hand using dozens of small applique pieces. The end result was beautiful but very time consuming. Instead of hand piecing and sewing blanket stitches around all of the beautiful leaves and flowers we decided to use machine applique and surround the shapes with stain stitches. The end result is stunning! This collection comes with 20 main blocks as well as rectangles, squares and triangles. The addition of these other shapes allows you to create exciting combinations of designs. Nursery Quilt (140 designs) Each Traputo Design sized- 4.8"x4.8", 5.9"x5.8", 6.8"x6.8" Each Puffy Design sized- 5"x7", 6"x10", 7"x12" Each Redwork Design- 5"x5" 6"x6", 7"x7" . The Nursery Quilt Collection is our 3rd release for our new quilt design line. This collection contains 15 different designs digitized three different ways and in three different sizes! The first version is a "redwork" version. You can use these designs to create a beautiful traditional quilt. The second version is a "trapunto" version that we embroidered on polar fleece for a unique quilt. The third version is a large oval with "motif" stitches. The large oval designs look great using puffy batting and stretch fabric. We created a beautiful pillow using one of these designs. Quilter's Flowers (150 designs) 50 different floral designs for 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6 hoops. Remember spending the night at grandma's house and sleeping under those heavy layers of handmade quilts? Oh those colorful quilts that were made from grandmothers scraps of leftover dress material. Those were the good old days, and now you can bring back those special memories by making your own quilts for generation after generation to enjoy. This collection has delicate flower motifs that are perfect for any project! Baltimore Quilt (125 designs) 20 Redwork Designs in 4 sizes- 4.8", 5.8", 6.8" 7.8". 20 Stitched Designs in 2 sizes 3.8", 4.8". Collection also includes 5 stipple frames. Baltimore Blossoms (125 Designs) Our newest release in our quilt line is called Baltimore Blossoms and is based on traditional quilt designs. We are giving you two types of designs in this collection. The first type of design is redwork. You get 20 different designs digitized in four different sizes so that no matter what size hoop you have you can enjoy these designs. The second type of design is a fully stitched version of the design in two different sizes. These designs look great on smaller quilts. We have also included five different stipple frames that can be merged with the stitched designs in your embroidery machine for beautiful stippled borders that look like you created them by hand. Spring Quilt (2 sizes) When we create the projects for our embroidery designs, we usually add quilting and sewing techniques for a finishing touch. Connecting Flowers (56 Designs) The connecting flowers collection is like 2 design packs in one. The first part of the collection consists of connecting flower quilt blocks. There are 16 different flowers in 2 different sizes each that include a unique squaring stitch making it much easier to create the perfect quilt. There are also 3 different running stitch blocks that you can use for checkerboard style quilts or to create the unique wall hanging that is our sample design. These designs are made to be rotated at a 45 degree angle for the finished project. We include all of the necessary pieces to make a square quilt with these designs. The second part of the collection consists of all the original flowers edited and rotated so that they are straight. We created the wall hanging using ten of the flowers and the running stitch designs. Since the designs are all rotated 45 degrees, the finished project forms a natural point. There is no need for you too measure the blocks because the pattern is included in our tutorial. |
