Vintage GWR Chad Valley Old Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

 I am not a great fan of the GWR puzzles,  but there are a few that I like,  and this is one of my favourites.   It is a splendid painting of the main quadrangle with the dome of the Sheldonian Theatre in the background.   It is a very characteristic 1930s picture with the men in trilby hats,  almost unheard of these days.   And the scene is unchanged,  or was when I visited last year,  ( see photo ).

Size : 23 by 16   inches.     Date :  1930s.     400  wooden pieces.

The puzzle is complete and totally original,  and in perfect condition.

The box is in excellent condition,  complete with linen ties.

The puzzle comes “fully loaded”,  i.e. the box also contains the sought after brochure “Literature of Locomotion”,  together with an envelope containing the map of the GWR system.

There cannot be a better copy of this puzzle complete with all the extras.   This is one for the collector who likes things to be just perfect.
