In 1959 I purchased an original home built “Thing” and ran it for several years on the Willamette River. Years later it got rotten and subsequently discarded. Now the Son of the man who originally built it from the magazine plans in his wood shop in Milwaukie, Oregon works with me and he helped his Dad build it in 1958. We decided to search for the plans and if we found them; I (an engineer) would upgrade it for two adults and build it. I bought your disk and building started last May 25 and it was ready to launch July 20^th. You are welcome to use the photos and my “title” as a former white water guild; River Rat Bob from Oregon. Hope you enjoy the pictures attached. I am 60 years old but still chasing the dream as you see from my smile in the boat.

The following are actual pics sent in from a customer who built the 12 ft Octagon Gazebo from our Gazebo plans disk.  This customer chose to build the Gazebo on a stone platform instead of a deck, although all decking plans are provided as part of the plan.  The customization potential is limitless.  This customer chose the railings and frieze from one plan and combined it with another plan and deleted the deck.  You can build limitless combinations.  All the plans are standardized to make you feel comfortable adding your own twist to the plans.  Click on each image to view full size:

The boat plan I used to build my boat was the 14' Playboy Runabout. I have pics from start to finish of the project and i'm very proud of it. I customized the plans a little to suit my needs better. I built her to drive with remote controls not from the motor, and I closed in the sides and put a storage compartment on both sides. I put a bench seat accross the back with storage underneath instead of a seat down both sides and I closed in the rear of the boat for extra storage (gas tank, battery box, tools, etc). I also fiberglassed the outside and painted it. I think the plans were great and easy to follow for the first time builder.

Why should I buy from you?  There are lots of places to buy similar stuff on ebay.  What makes you so special?

What separates us from the rest is that we want you to be happy.  If you're happy, you'll buy from us again and tell your friends.  Getting one sale from you is great, but we want the next sale from you and the next one after that.  It isn't worth a few bucks to us to have one unhappy customer.  If you are unhappy, tell us and let us try to fix the problem.  How many sellers will say that?

Yeah, so, there are lots of other sellers on ebay.  Are you saying the rest of them will rip me off?

No, of course not.  But, beware of what people sell on ebay.  Many sellers on here will charge you an exhorbitant amount for shipping.  Many will "claim" to provide discount shipping only when you contact them, they'll tell you they'll take a quarter off the shipping price for each additional item.  We never do that.  Our combined shipping policy is clearly spelled out for those to see.  No tricky or cheap discounts.  Simple as that.  Also, when comparing our films to those of others, take note of not only the price of the item, but also the content.  You'll see that we not only offer more content per package then our competition, and not only at the cheapest shipping, but also at the cheapest price too.

What kind of permits, codes, restrictions, paperwork, etc., do I need to deal with before I build your shed/garage/gazebo, etc?

We can't answer that.  Every county in every state has different requirements.  We encourage you to check with your local building department before beginning your project.  Different regions also have different building codes and requirements.  It is your responsibility that whatever structure you build complies with those codes.  Remember, it doesn't matter where you bought the plan, or what plan you are using, or if you are even using a plan, you are ultimately responsible for the safety of the structure you build, so you will need to ensure whatever you are building complies with your local safety codes and construction standards.  There is nothing more important that the safety of your loved ones.  With that in mind, if you are inexperienced in construction, and are tackling a large project such as a shed, garage, gazebo, etc., you should verify all that you are doing with someone who is more experienced.

Have you bought plans on CD's on ebay before only to be disappointed? Did you buy a CD only to find a bunch of useless links on it?  Did you buy a disc and when it arrives it doesn't work and you can't contact the seller?

Many sellers on ebay who we won't name are selling discs full of links and other garbage instead of what you are looking for.  Why would you want to buy a disc full of links??  All of our plans are in PDF format right on the disc.  No links, no garbage that sends you on the internet to some website. 

All of our discs are tested before shipping to ensure customer satisfaction.  In VERY RARE cases does a disc get damaged and rendered unreadable in shipment.  If our disc shows up and it won't read on your DVD or CD Drive, let us know, an we'll replace it.  If you are unsatisfied in any way, let us know, we want you to be happy.

In some cases, customers bought DVD ROM discs and tried to play them on their CD ROM.  In those cases, it is not our responsibility for your hardware compatibility issues.  ALL of our DVD's are clearly marked as DVD's in the auction listing.

Pay through PayPal using:

1. We accept PayPal as our only form of payment.  We do not accept any other form of payment.  Sorry, but no exceptions.

2. All items will be shipped within 1 business day to your PayPal address. We will only ship to your PayPal verified address, (we do not review or ship to your ebay address, we only look at your PayPal address).  While this may seem like a "customer unfriendly" policy, this is a fraud prevention technique and is for the consumer's protection, as well as ours.  It is also per PayPal policy.  If you do not hear from us, please assume your package went out as promised.  We will only contact you if there is a problem.  We typically do not send out shipping notifications.

3. All items are shipped by USPS first class mail.  In an effort to keep our costs down, that are passed along as low prices to you, all of our disks are packaged and shipped in economic sleeves and mailers.  We do not believe in charging you an extra 3 or 4 dollars like some people out there just to throw in a 25 cent plastic case.

4. TO USA CUSTOMERS:  Most times, your package will arrive in about 5 days after we ship them depending on where you are at.  However, lately the Post Office it seems has not been very cooperative with us and we've had a couple of customers wait a few days longer than that.  For that, we apologize.  Please understand that we cannot control the Post Office, so we can't guarantee a delivery time.  Please wait at least a week and half before you get all upset with us.  And if it still doesn't show up, contact us.  We've yet to knowingly have a customer who is not satisfied.  The only unhappy customers we have are those that don't bother to contact us and don't give us a chance to fix the problem for them.

   TO NON-USA CUSTOMERS:  Same deal above,  except your packages typically have been taking about 2 weeks or so after we ship them.  We've noticed that maybe 20% of overseas customers have been waiting as long as 4+ weeks for these shipments.  The only explanation we can come up with is that it must be stuck in some container in some dock waiting on customs clearance.  It happens, and for those 20% of customers, we apologize, but there is very little we can do about that.  Your disk will arrive or we will replace it.

5. Multiple items purchased by the same customer may or may not be shipped in the same package, at our discretion.  We do not offer any additional discounts on multiple items other than the ones noted above.

6. Every effort has been made to accurately describe the contents of this collection.  On very very rare occasions, typographical errors may occur and we may make an innocent mistake.  These items are described to the very best of our abilities, and in as much detail as possible.

Feedback Policy:

Please offer us a chance to fix any problems before leaving us negative feedback for any reason by emailing us first with your problem.  The only thing we ask from our customers is that if they have a problem, that they give us a chance to fix the problem for them before they leave bad feedback.  If negative feedback is left without any prior communication, we will assume you are no longer interested in communicating and working things out.

WE VALUE your positive feedback and will work hard to earn it from you.  We do not require any customers to leave us positive feedback, we do not consider it to be a purchase requirement.  We consider a customer leaving us feedback, and feedback in general, to be a favor of goodwill.  Our feedback is automated through auctiva and works in the following way to ensure each customer who leaves us feedback, gets the favor returned:

1.  When your package arrives in satisfactory condition, we ask you to leave positive feedback so that we may close out the transaction.

3.  If you leave us positive feedback, you should get a positive feedback in return within a short time, sometimes a day or two at most.  If you leave a negative feedback, that situation is left for us to individually review.   Again, we ask that you contact us first if you are contemplating negative feedback and inform us of the problem.

4.  We do not leave feedback first.  If you want positive feedback, please leave it for us and the favor is returned 100% of the time.  If you do not leave us feedback, you will not get feedback from us.

5.  Since all of our products are set to immediate payment required, we can not evaluate a buyer's payment time.  The only thing we can evaluate is how easy a buyer is to work with after the sale.  In order for us to do that, the transaction must be closed.  For this reason, we require a buyer close the transaction first by leaving feedback so that we know we have successfully completed the deal.
