2 SPEED The YZE Series unit is the outdoor part of a versatile heat pump system. It is designed to be custom matched with one of our complete line of evaporator sections, each designed to serve a specific function. Matching air handlers are available for upflow, downflow and horizontal left or right application to provide a complete system. Electric heaters are available if required. Add-on coils are available for use with upflow, downflow or horizontal furnaces. Field installed accessories are avaliable as needed. DESCRIPTION
This air handler line offers the ultimate in application flexibility.
The AHX (high efficiency motor) models can only be ordered as
multi-position. These multi-position model can be installed in
downflow, upflow, horizontal right or left except AHX60 two
piece model, which is ordered as upflow or horizontal right unit
and has to be disengaged, repositioned and reassembled for
horizontal left or downflow applications.
All UPG air handlers and coils utilize a field installed TXV to
provide our customers with the optimum performance and
refrigerant control required for 13 SEER split systems. All air
handlers are available with “Flex-coils” without a factory
installed metering device.

Evaporator Coil - A device that is designed to absorb heat in the air in order to change the liquid refrigerant that flows through it into a vapor. Package Unit - A heating and cooling system contained in one outdoor unit. SEER - Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio: A rating system developed by the U.S. Government to indicate the efficiency level of cooling equipment. CFM - Cubic Feet per Minute. A measurement of airflow volume BTU - British Thermal Unit measures the amount of heat required to raise or lower the temperature of one pound of water one degree Fahrenheit. |
