Beautiful collector's piece. Large pottery bowl by renowned Navajo artist Jack Black featuring a herd of wild horses running around the outside. It is signed and dated 1984 on the bottom. The outside of the bowl is in excellent condition; no chips, cracks or hairlines. There is a slight 1/2 inch chiplike mark on the bottom that is shown in lower right of photo #2. The bowl measures 10.5 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches high. The tan/light brown horses are raised on a beautiful turquoise background.

Artist info: Jack Black was born in Galveston, Texas. He trained at the Institute of Design in Chicago and opened an art gallery in Sedona, Arizona in 1884. He died in 2003.
