ABOUT MYSELF My name is Elena Pate, and I’m a jewelry designer from Siberia, where I studied the history of costume and jewelry traditions from our ancient ancestors to the present. It is a great feeling when in your craftsmanship you can use skills and techniques which were used by jewelers thousands of years ago. How did I come to this kind of business? When I was a teenager, I just wanted to look impressive and I didn’t feel like wearing the same cheap, fake jewelry as my friends wore. So I started to make jewelry for myself from coins, shells, buttons and other simple things. Sometimes, people asked me to sell them some of my jewelry, but I didn’t think it was good enough to ask money for it. By now, after years of practicing, I learnt a lot of different techniques from several cultures; I also learnt a lot about minerals, fossils and all the materials I’m working with, like high-grade Czech and Japanese seed beads, Swarovski elements, semi-precious gemstones and bio-materials (abalone shells, pearls, fossils, etc.). My materials are not cheap, but my prices are affordable compared to the retail value of other handmade unique jewelry. I spend a lot of time making them and I’m sure of their quality. Now I feel ready to share my collection with you and I will be glad to do it. My jewelry will bring into your life a lot of compliments and positive energy from natural materials, warmed in my hands. SPECIAL TREATMENT Please be aware of that handmade, beaded jewelry is not as sturdy and durable as jewelry made of metal. Don’t try to stretch it and don’t use acids or detergents for cleaning it. Wash it by hand in warm water with a soap bar, if necessary, and then dry by towel on the flat surface. I’m not responsible for any damages occurring while it’s being worn. If you have questions about special treatment of your item, just let me know. SHIPPING I will ship for $2.99 in the continental U.S.A. For Customers from Hawaii, Alaska and Canada, shipping costs will be $4.99. International bidders, please, let me know before bidding, so I can verify shipping costs to your country. Texas customers are required to pay 8.5% sales tax. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING, AND HAPPY BIDDING!
