This is a gorgeous 1945 -1950's English blonde bird's eye maple bedroom group marked with Brighton metal badges, and with an F.Wrighton & Sons, London paper tag on the back of the dressing mirror. This delightful five piece group includes two fabulous wardrobes, a terrific dresser with large dressing mirror with hidden cabinets behind the two sliding side mirrors, and two nightstands. These pieces are all beautiful blonde bird's eye maple with original decorative hardware and quality construction like dovetail drawers. I am also including the matching full size headboard if the buyer would like it, though it does have some discoloration below the mattress line as shown.
The large wardrobe stands 72 inches tall by 48 inches wide and 21 inches front to back. Inside are two hanging bars, on the right side with a shelf above the 20 inch long bar with 10 3/4 inch clearance above the shelf. The higher hanging bar across the left side is 26 inches long.
The smaller of the two wardrobes is 70 1/2 inches tall 36 inches wide and 20 3/4 inch front to back. Inside it is neatly fitted with a long top shelf 35 inches long by 18 inches deep by 8 inches tall with sliding glass doors covering each end. There are also two additional shirts below on the right side, each 12 inches wide by 15 1/2 inches front to back with 7 1/2 and 8 inches clearance above them respectively. Below the shelves is a hanging bar 12 inches long with 39 inches clearance below. On the left side the hanging bar is 23 1/2 inches long with 54 inches clearance below.
The mirrored dresser is 55 1/2 inches tall with a surface height of 28 inches. It measures 49 inches wide by 23 inches front to back. The large center mirror is 26 inches tall by 28 inches wide and is in good condition with minimal ptting and free of any cracks or chips. The two sliding side mirrors which cover hidden shelf space behind them are each 21 1/2 inches tall and 9 inches wide. It has a top center drawer 34 1/2 inches wide by 16 3/4 inch front to back by 3 inches deep. Each side has two more drawers for a total of 5 drawers, each 19 inches wide by 14 1/2 front to back with the top drawer on each side 7 3/4 deep and the second 8 3/4 deep.
The two nightstands each stand 24 1/4 inch tall and are 14 inches wide by 13 inches front to back. Behind their door is cabinet space 13 1/2 inches wide by 10 1/4 inch front to back, divided into two shelves with 10 1/4 and 9 3/4 inch clearance respectively. Again, this set has some minor blemishes, nicks and dents to the finish as one would expect in a repectfully used set this age.
