This is a hand made, wheel thrown stoneware bonsai pot. It was fired in a gas kiln reduction atmosphere to 2,400 f.The pot is vitrified and frost proof. I have had no problems with chipping, cracking or spalling with these pots over the past 4 years. This shallow round pot measures 8 " x 1"d, including height of the turned feet. This pot is made with an Iron bearing clay that fires to a stone look with speckles. This pot was hand thrown and glazed with a traditional, glossy Oribe glaze that looks very earthy and breaks nicely and pools near the base of the pot .
This pot is perfect for a broom style Zelkova or Beech
The pot has1 large drainage hole and 4 wire holes with turned feet. signed and dated by the maker.
Thanks for looking.
