Over 400 Middle School Math Posters on CD
Images can
be printed, placed in a PowerPoint presentation or projected in the classroom
as needed to accompany lessons. Whatever
lesson you are teaching, there is at least one of the posters on this CD that can enhance
it.
These (approximately
11" x 8.5") poster images give a visual representation of concepts that are found in arithmetic,
geometry, pre-algebra and algebra. They were created by a middle school math
teacher who could not find posters at stores or online for specific concepts
such as absolute value (step-by-step) or the Zero Property of Multiplication.
Each poster is simple, direct, colorful and memorable. Give your students the
gift of visualization as they explore the ABCs of middle school mathematics
including the additive invers, benchmark
for rounding, constant of variation, domain of a function, extraneous solution,
geometric probability, independent event, linear parent function,
mutually exclusive events, negative correlation, opposite reciprocals, percent
of error, quartiles, roster form of a set, similarity ratio, trial probability,
unit analysis, (independent) variable, x-intercept, y-intercept, zero exponent and
hundreds more concepts/properties that are hard, if not impossible, to find anywhere else.
The posters
include memorable images, as well as a brief summary of each idea. These
teaching aids can strengthen student retention of the material and boost
understanding of mathematical properties and concepts. I know this for a fact,
as I have watched my students soar in math knowledge (and test scores). They are sometimes humorous, sometimes cute, often
interesting and usually bring math to a place of student understanding through clarity. 26 of the posters can be viewed at http://posters.kavonrueter.com/ ~ the ABCs of Math Thank you for viewing this auction! |
